How come apple didn't announce their watch sales on this earnings report?

This gets funnier and funnier, they don't want to share watch sale numbers with their competitors, all of the sudden....i could bet you that if watch sales were 5 million+ the would have announced the numbers very very very very very very loudly. .....you could tell how pathetic these wearable devices are, it reminds me of 3D tv, they hyped it and it never even caught on.....same with these smart watches, all of the sudden everyone cares about their blood pressure and how many miles and calories they burned running to work....

If we do a bit of back-of-the-envelope calculation, the Other category grew by $874 million year over year. It means that Apple sold “well over” $874 million worth of Apple Watches. It doesn’t say much, and it’s exactly what Apple wanted. “As we said in the past, we do not plan to disclose Apple Watch metrics,” Maestri said, adding that the company doesn’t want to share these numbers with its competitors.

Smartwatch shipments plummet. Just as I expected. ..and everyone thought this was going to be the hottest market for the next decade......these are just tech fads...just like the Tablet market that they hyped and 3d TV.....the next big thing awaiting is virtual reality... Let's see how that takes off....remember Google glass hahah.....

  5. You may be right, but I'd suggest you wait to see what happens as iWatch 2 is released. You have to admit, however, that the demand for iWatch was much greater than you anticipated. Apple has done substantially better than expected by many, and has royally beaten their competition! I suggest you hold off on the "I told you so..." for the time being.

  6. Here is an earlier post which shows Samsung leading in 2014 with 1,200,000 of their watches shipped. Apple responded in 2015 with 12,000,000 of their own watches shipped. If you call this a failure, than you're a fool!

Apple absolutely killed their competition in 2015.
