Dude is starting to win after a major drawdown and getting the swelled head. Only natural. Hopefully he can keep it up though honestly I'd love to see someone else making money around here besides the typical 2 or 3 big players.

  2. Hello hilmy83,

I have no clue. I do not care about commission rates and all that stuff. I just care about profit.

That is too much thinking worrying about fees and all that. Just want green PNL.

I keep my trading VERY simple.

If I see Green PNL, I am right, keep going.

If I see Red PNL, I am wrong, keep going.

  3. That's a fair enough statement...unless we're talking about 70%.

Fees are an expense...so less profit...

I typed the above response instead of an instinctive 'face palm'.

  4. Hello semperfrosty,

I just want to make money man. I do not over think trading. Trading the ES futures market is very easy to me.

nah man i ain't shit, yet.

you keep it going, I've been giving you a hard time because I see the trap...it's possible you just finally became an actual good trader and will have a stellar equity curve for decades...but, the ego is cunning and failure rate is high.

At the end of the day that is what it is all about. Who is making money and who isn't. you are making money so have more of a right to post advice around here than 90% of ETers at least.

We are in some agreeance: Systems, books, seminars, even mentorships don't mean shit if the individual just isn't a good trader. it's been proven time and time again.

not hating on my mans Padu (more the situation) but he is a prime example. 20 years of books and still losing money trading micro contracts in a sim account...posting up advice like it's helpful. I see that and just know it ain't my fate bro.

I'd rather be huffing jenkem in a San Diego dumpster in 20 years than losing paper money on micros.

If someone day trades the ES and isn't making a daily profit 90% of the days and losing no more than 2X the average daily profit on the losing days, then his only contribution to a forum like ET should be to share what he's doing that isn't working in hope of getting help, and to ask questions.

man that really is so true. I see a lot of defensiveness from members not pulling actual cash from the market on a consistent basis. I have to LISTEN...when someone is obviously better at trading than me, don't get mad when they disagree - LISTEN.

As far as the giving advice (when you are a net loser) part, I am to some degree guilty of that also so can't hate too hard. When you learn something new and it works you just cant help but to want to talk about it...you finally "found" something "effective" haha. Sadly that thing you found was favorable conditions and luck...then you get shredded soon after.

speaking of doing just that lol, I think the basic principles preached in this book really are like commandments...risk management, focus on defense/capital preservation, discipline to execute, etc... are supreme truths because you have to stay alive until it works. I really wish I had implemented a mandatory 1-2% max drawdown on every trade I ever made lol...its insane to me the difference something so simple makes in longevity.
