No noise just movement. Noise is a myth. Many believe in it. I don’t. Most all movement is trade-able as a scalper. IMO.

Noise is relative to the time frame one is trading.
For intraday guys trading within minutes or seconds, minute (as in tiny) moves may not be noise, but for long term traders it is.

The way I see it, Nov was a breakout month, Dec pathetic, Jan optimism reborn of a santa rally, Feb hopes of a continuation were there but it deflated, March, nothing but a big failure.
So in summary, since November the mkts are trending sideways and if anything it's slowing down or going nowhere, looking at the big picture since January 2022, the trend continues down. This month basically has been a wrecking ball. There are no calls for optimism.
Metals hammered but technology stocks are attempting to recover.
Crypto atm is the only bright spot, but for how long...., so far it looks optimistic.
It would be a huge global joke if this year markets tanked and crypto went ballistic and also gold.

The Fed are responsible for keeping inflation in check but failed dismally.
Somehow the idiot Feds have been given the job of fixing the fuckup of their making.

Doesn’t matter if one is a long term trader or a scalper. Every tick happens for a reason. There is no noise. It is just that a scalper takes advantage of tick moves more often than a longer term trader who takes trades on many accumulated ticks. Noise is a myth. The market moves only because an institution wanted it to move, even on one tick. We retail traders don’t move the market unless we are trading institution size.

  7. It's a matter of semantics. In the middle of a trading range, what follows next is most likely to be random... I call that noise, meaning "not tradable in a meaningful way". That's opposed to buying support and selling resistance... odds of what follows is more predictable and not just random... hence, "not noise".

This is where Volpri gets his nonsense from, pretty obvious...

Matthew 10:29-31 New American Standard Bible
Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

While trading a fast chart may not be any particular trader's cup of tea,
imho the amount of signal to noise is no better or worse than any other timeframe. delete.png
