Just so you know...David offered to pay "$100 everyday just to watch him trade" a couple of years ago...A man worth of "$40 million" was desperately visiting forums to find "trading partners" ??? .... gimme a fu***** break... take a look at the following link... http://groups.google.com/group/misc...q="market+monk"&rnum=1&hl=en#2da818170d906480
We can all agree MM is the most disagreeable person on this planet. Being far from gullible, I wouldn't have risked $5000 if I didn't think he had anything worthwhile to teach. Just because we do not like the source doesn't mean the information dispensed from said source is bad. I felt what I learned from his was valuable. just not worth $5000. God forbid, he wanted $10,000. David is a lonely motherf*****. He has no idea how to make friends. The only thing he knows is trading. So he is looking for someone who is passionate about trading as he is. Thing is he points out all your flaws under the guise of mentoring yet you cannot point out the same flaws in him or he throws a tantrum. And he will not stop until you tell him he is correct for throwing that tantrum. I was willing to pay for the knowledge he had but what enraged me is that I felt i was abused by him while trying to learn from him. And he just decides not to talk to me anymore because I mocked him after one too many whinefests by him about missed trades. My only consolation is that I know where he lives...
"He has no idea how to make friends. The only thing he knows is trading" ------- who fuc**ng cares if he has idea to make friends or not, atleast we didn't. I didn't join him to make friends either. All we cared about trading, and some of us including me were "passionate" (or crazy ?) enough to put as many hours as he did. Still, All we got were his excuses over and over again. "we missed the trade because we were slleping." blah blah...bull shit...what about the trades in those 12-16 fuc**** hours when all the "partners" were glued to the screen. ?? No matter how you put it but its not going to change the reality. And the reality is that David P is a fuc**** big liar. He made false claim about his trading, and his only motive was/is to find ONLY morons who could beleive in him and buy his "methodolgy". People who knows trading make their living by trading only couple of hours a day. And that too in normal US/Europe market hours. Having said that, I don't agree that he knows trading either. If he had, it'd have never ended the way it did.
You're right monk_hater. Part of me has to believe what he said is true. If I thought for a moment he was full of spit I will go ballistic and put my fist through a wall. As i said I know where he lives. He's about 6'2" with blue eyes and 145lbs. Sounds like he's a beanpole. Easy to spot in a crowd. Did you get your money back? Of the people who did, how did they do so?
Some people realized it fast (within 1st month) that Monk's real intention was to make money by selling his method, and his method doesn't work or work only after the facts. they realized that more they stay in the group, more they'd loose and more it'll give monk a justification to held their money in the name of training he had provided by then, which was his aim anyways. they quit early and demanded their money back. few lucky ones got half back but most got none and I was one of them.
He claims he made $10 million trading his campaign within 90 days by compounding at the rate of $2500 divided into total equity for contracts to trade up to a maximum of 500. He also whines that the summer months slammed him hard and you can hear the fear in his voice; of the markets and of terrorists. He also rents a house in Tampa, FL. The only things he owns are by his admission, a beat-up pick up truck and a fairly new Mercedes. One would think with $10 million equity one would have a few American dream assets, even if one hates the country. So monk_hater, did shithead teach you anything about his methodology? I learned most of it although I had to use visualization most of the time. If you're interested, I will teach you what I know. I think his methods work best in a trending market. I don't think his method is bullshit, just waaaayy overpriced. The ES is a scalper's market now.
Sure I did. Because unlike you, I was watching exactly what he was on 6 monitors. and that too for 12-16 hrs/day for months, not just for few weeks. I too know a lot about his method except a few things that he didn't disclose to anyone anyways. but my point is this...when David himself, who is supposed to be a veteran trader, expereinced, passionate, monk and the inventor of the method couldn't do justice to people's trading account, what it'd bring to you or to anyone given that I/you know his method partially ?? Having said that, Thanks for the offer....but NO Thanks.
monk_hater, I wasn't going to charge you. I'm not in this forum for the money, only the sharing of ideas. You stated that there were a few ideas that david didn't share. How do you know? Did he share them with you? If so, why? Would it make a difference to trading his method? And if you do know and we both hate him anyway, why not spill the beans? And after all this, have you found a profitable method that works for you?
