Market making new highs (again). Doom and gloomers frantic

  1. I changed my handle last year due to a loser ET troll stalking me everytime I posted.

    Sorry about the mistake.

In all honesty though, I was wildly bearish in 2006. Like I said, I was waaaaay early.

I don't know why ByLo thinks I am a perma bull. I have posted that I think the market is going to collapse again in 2010. I just think the government and instututions will prop it up through 2009. The public has short memories, and the institutions need to get fat bonuses for 2009 to make up for the last two disappointing years.

  2. Trolls at ET? Frankly I am shocked by this! Kidding of course. :D

Bylo seems a little defensive about the whole thing but when one strongly chooses a side then one positions themselves for criticism.

Don't rely on news, better analyze from first principles...
    1) Nothing in the fundamentals of economics of the world have changed with all the stimulus/bailouts - it is all buying time, so far one year. All these "replenishing of credit" all aimed for the stock markets anew and funded the rally from March 09. Lehman Brothers started the stock market free fall of 2008. Now governments will never allow this mistake to happen again ever after. But never say never. If the economic fundamentals all around the world are the same, anything can happen and must again happen as a law of nature, but not necessarily from a very large firm failing.
    2) we all know (?) the rally from March is quantitative easing which allowed those with access to bailout moneys to shop for "good and still living" stocks, to take profits when the time is right.
    3) How powerful still is the FED. It can only support stocks only for some time and never all the time.
So the stock market must again crash - law of nature.

For the actual time of the crash, look out for these signs :-
When wolves howl in the day
    Children stop playing,
    Numbers do not tally
    Men walk slowly
    Lights appear in the sky
    Darkness do not end

  4. This quote coming from a guy that has been shorting for almost this whole rally and calling for a major collapse?

I dunno, is it just me, or is this "recovery" a whole lot different than the other recoveries from recessions in the last 40 years? Something is just not sittin' right. Maybe I am just a dumb ol' hick for not jumping on the bull wagon and donnin' my Dow 10K hat again?

Whoops, what did I say,... again? This would be the 3rd time in the last 10 years! The other two times were because of a tech bubble, then a real estate bubble. What bubble we riding up this time?

Maybe the fundamentals do not support Dow 10K. Maybe the fundamentals never did in the past, but the market trudged ahead on hopes and dreams.

I my view, if the market had trouble staying above 10K with low taxes and little regulation, what are the chances it will advance with just the opposite?

The scary thing is, most average people would! Even if they saw inflation in the economy, they are so incredibly stupid that they might not realize that the events are related. The politicians can point to a rising market and imply that a recovery has taken hold, which is a lot better than a DOW stuck at 3000 in the midst of a depression from a political point of view. That's exactly why they have no fear of inflating from here to high heaven (literally!).

  7. Hey wanker.

The economy is going to crash.

I haven't been short any stocks, and my liquidity situation has never been better.

Keep trading those pink sheets, piker.

Still got a few more months until alaska goes into their few months of 24 hour a day darkness. I guess the collapse will happen around January then.
