Absolutely. happens all the time. I get this weird feeling of "knowing". Its the proverbial lightbulb over the head *DING* thing. BTW its COMPLETELY unrelated to traders emotions of hope and fear. it runs on a completely different circuit imvho. The other thing is the overall "feel of the day" and the "feel of the tape" Is all this caused by some mystical esp thing? Or is it just the greatest Neural Net computer ever designed, firing off when it gets a "pattern match"? I don't think it really matters. The point is that there is something really interesting and strange going on... (BTW its IMPOSSIBLE to re-create this thing with an act of will..LOL) I would be interested in hearing any more experiences along this vein.
I cannot conceptualize intuition, nor would I ever care to attempt. I entertain some speculative theories but I stay unattached to them. Like you said, I do not need to know exactly where this intuition comes from, in the sameway as I do not need to know the exact causality of Beethoven's Ode to Joy in order to enjoy it. I do not need to know the type of bird to hear its song willful intuition Sounds funny just writing it. intuition cannot be willed because it is perpetuated by the unconscious self. The ego or conscious self cannot be involved in the process whatsoever. But there are ways to cultivate this intuition. Simple physical, mental, and metaphysical disciplines can all make you more receptive. The very act of acknowledging 'it' and coming to trust it, will cultivate it. Things as seemingly simple as breathing a certain way will help bring it out. Publias
I once read studies that stated the ones which occur in black and white are prophetic and the ones which occur in color serve some other purpose. Is there truth to this? I dunno. Personally, I think above statement is non-sense. You just know it's a message. How? I have no clue, you just know. What's really weird is that sometimes it is so explicit that you do not need any explanation.
I had a doozie of a dream last night. lol I was peacefully walking thru the woods somewhere and I looked up and saw coming up over the tree-line ahead of me a 200 foot wall of water! (TSUNAMI!) It started crowning and i heard a voice say something to the effect of: "only those who are very strong and prepared will survive" LOL then WHAM! Major Swirley... I hope that this is not prophetic in any way. (i'm not a run to the hills kind of guy..LOL:eek: ) Ironically, my swing trading system would have made a mint today. but these dreams have created a feeling of impending doom that I just cant shake.. so i'm not playing.. i once dreamt that me and some friends were being chased through a warehouse by a gorilla in a three piece suit and a bowler hat. i broke open a crate and it was full of handguns packed in sawdust, so i loaded one and shot the gorilla in the chest just as it was bearing down on us. my friends all gathered around the dying gorilla and there was this weird mist and it turned into barbara streisand. my friends all got really pissed at me and started yelling you killed barbara streisand! so then i was running from my friends. i wound up alone having a drink in a bar and telling my story to a canadian midget whose legs were too short to dangle off the stool. the market did something weird the next day but i forget exactly what.
