following the trend seems to be the best advice on trading, plus obeying stops. Works like magic!! http://lauristonletter.blogspot.com/
makloda If you specify risk via volatility we have INDU 7 SPX 7 NQ 13 IWM 13 VIX 73 !!! (SPX options volatility) AAPL 43 QID ?
I will re-focus on INDU, SPX, NDX and Russel at specific grids as stated on 01-05-07 06:45 PM (see above). Ten day grids: INDU HIGH 12570 LOW 12345 with 12 x 15 point steps SPX HIGH 1428 LOW 1406 with 11 x 2 point steps NDX HIGH 1795 LOW 1735 with 16 x 5 point steps RUT HIGH 798 LOW 776 with 11 x 2 point steps For the DOW we have following waves: 522122113211231121121233271121424111421724122211 The best system is: S383 (Stop 3*15; PT 8*15; Stop 3*15)
System is short from 12525 Trailing Stop is at 12510 At that point the postion will be reversed Profit Target is 7*15 points
I found a nice system based on the Russel Index RUT. Based on a 2 point grid a nice profit would have been made the last 10 days. Please see attached graphics for details.
NDX has been the most volatile index today. INDU, SPX and RUT sideways (no big breakout) Long since 1785 Short signal at 1790 (Trailing on 5 point grid)
