Wow...that was not good (broken elbow). Hopefully you can get out there this year and make up for missing out last year. ************************************************************************* Heads up to anyone interested...I may be able to get a few more people into a 8:00 pm CST chatroom class (vCap Futures Hotcomm Room) with Trevor from MD tonight. The class will be on MD fundamentals and trade set-ups (only) with myself and one other trader I know adding to the mix. PM me if you want in....thanks.
I am sorry to have to report this but I can no longer recommend the new Market Delta platform. After extensive testing I have determined that I/RT platform has significant and fundamental issues with it's "delta" output. I am recommending users of the old Market Delta platform stick with it until the issues with the new platform are resolved. Existing I/RT users I suggest you do some testing of your own - start with T&S. bolter
I am using Inv R/T (version 8.5.3) with DTN.IQ feed and I am having no problems......again another good day with some "delta" divergence trades to take advantage of even on a tight range day. SHORT and LONG trade....... http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_2.png LONG trade........ http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_3.png http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_4.png LONG trade....... http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_5.png http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_6.png LONG and SHORT trade........ http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_7.png http://www.charthub.com/images/2006/09/29/ES_317_VB_8.png Bolter what exactly are the problems you are encountering....thanks.
Hi 5P' I have been checking your chart postings for awhile now and it seems you really like the delta (so do I) initiated entries... I would assume that you are also using the BidXAsk footprints too but just not posting those with delta chart image too... thanks for taking the time to share your charts... cj... __________________ HAVE STOP - WILL TRADE If You Have The Vision We Have The Code
Bolter, I am in total agreement with your view. I've, also, given up on the new MD, for similar reasons to you plus a few others that I won't go into. As we know, the previous version of MD will be obsolete after 1st November. My suggestion to Trevor was that he extricated the core MD from Investor R/T, ironed out the quirks and kept it operational. His view is that the knowledge base, amongst the programming team at Linnsoft, will prove to be a great benefit in bringing about continued improvements to the new MD. He seems to have made an irrevocable decision on this. Unfortunately, I have been here before. I was using a very popular piece of software, back in the late 1990s. The company producing it were, subsequently, taken over and all the subscribers were told that we would have a better product as a result. The new product was full of bugs and still is to this day. Their large, existing subscriber base evaporated within weeks. I sincerely hope that Trevor makes a success of this but, it could be a very rough ride, certainly in the short term. Imho, he has made a mistake in taking this course but, it is his business to do with as he wishes.
EdgeHunter - Yes I am constantly watching the "footprint" also and I know what I am looking for to enter. Overall though the set-ups are fairly simple imo, and I have never before had the "entry" precision with other tools or indicators as I do now with the "delta".
5P, Was it possible to record the MD session with Trevor? Also, being new to I/RT ( I use eSignal and was a MD stand alone user) with this new MD version, I've been struggling to set up some basic charts correctly. So far, all I've been using is the bid/ask Footrprint. Do you have any tips on how to set up the Delta line chart you have posted several times? It seems like it might be easier to spot a divergence using the Delta line chart along wth the Footprint chart. Thanks.
I too like this program but the data management issues are for the birds. It's like you need a Ph.D to get data into a chart (talking non-US instruments).
