5P, you're giving away the store with your post above!

    5P, can I PM you?

I was in Trevor's MD training, part 2, today at 3:30 CST. I've also watched the new training videos on the MD site, however, not being a programmer/engineer type, I'm still on a steep learning curve. I was a MD stand-alone user, and now I have to learn R/T as well...ugh...

Does anyone trade without charts here?

It seems like specialists and MM's dont use charts at all. They just look at liquidity pools. I'm interested in the market delta approach to trading, it looks like a more advanced tool, similiar to detailed volume.

Just a quick update ..... have zoomed up the steepest part of the learning curve in the last week and starting to feel comfortable with new platform. MidKnight was a big help - thanks MK. I'm still running the old platform(s) side-by-side but starting trade more and more off the new charts. Another week or so and hopefully I can turn all the old crap off.

I have to say Trevor and Chad have been extremely supportive - they both work like maniacs! There are still a few unresolved issues however they all relatively minor - Chad has them in hand. I believe a new release next week will incorporate the same logic as the old version for allocating deltas.

Am I pleased with the leap of faith to the new version. Absolutely 100%. I really can do everything I need on 1 platform, and it is clearly the best Market Profile product available today. They really are pushing the boundaries.

    Bon chance,
    bolter (one happy camper)

  4. Trevor is going to have a class for traders in my brokers chatroom next Tuesday night at 7:30 pm CST, for those wanting to learn about MD. Send me a PM if you need details.

The only trading I can do without charts are my market opening and news release "bracket" trades....all my others I use charts for.

I am close to admitting defeat, reluctantly, on this new Investor RT + MD hybrid.

Can I seek the guidance of you experts that have come to grips with this far quicker than me? I would like to have the tech indicators, i.e. MAs, CCIs, etc on the Footprint chart but, haven't managed to do it. I can get them on a candlestick chart but, I would much prefer to have them on the Fprint. I'm, obviously, failing to find the right options to select for this.

I've looked at the videos and feel that I'm not much further forward than I was when the initial launch was made. I'm no stranger to charting software and managed to set up quite complex templates with a previous software.

The more I look at this, the more I see a disassociated hybrid package that is neither fish not fowl.

  7. On the footprint chart???

Just stack them............Have your footprint chart and then place a price chart below it with your indicators.............very simple to do.

    5 Pillars,

I assume that you are suggesting to tile them vertically. Is this correct?

  10. No....stack two separate charts on top of each other. One footprint and one price chart (just remove the candlestick portion of the second chart if you don't want to see it.....so you would only see the indicators).
