  2. I used to subscribe to the old MarketDelta, stand alone product. I'm very confused regarding what to subscribe to.

Do I subscribe to Inv R/T or do I subscribe to MarketDelta? What are the folks on here subscribed to? Can I get 5Pillars charts if I subscribe through MarketDelta.com?

    Thanks in advance.

    john,
I believe the Market Profile and delta functionality will only be available thru www.marketdelta.com going forward. And yes you can create charts like 5Pillars - he might even send you his chart definition.

  4. John can have my settings for $1 :D

John.....when you subscribe for the product at marketdelta.com you get all the Inv R/T charting that I have. Their products have been merged together and you order from marketdelta.com (for those who want the footprint charting).

If you just want a charting package with no MD features then you can order from Inv R/T.

    Hi guys...

A little confused here. I'm on the trial for the old version of Marketdelta now and like it. Am thinking of subscribing actually.

Can I just get the old no-frills MD software and not use this IRT version?

    Thanks!

  8. 5Pillars,

Careful! I'll probably take you up on that offer. :p

In any event, which subscription plan did you sign up for? I think you're getting Market Profile as an add-on based on your charts, correct? Obviously the delta is useful to you as that is one of the foundations of the product. Is Market Profile useful to you, or could you do everything you've posted about without MarketProfile?

    Regards,

    John

  9. Actually settings are FREE for you...:)

I started using Investor R/T with the market profile option at the start of the summer (I was using Esignal before and a tape reading tool that was feed with Esignal feed). A trader friend of mine in Florida told me about the Inv R/T set-up (he had switched over from Ensign) with the "market delta" and "market profile" capabilities combined. I started using it right away after he gave me the heads up, and I was immediately hooked for the type of trading I do (I no longer use my tape reading tool for "delta" observations).

I am not involved with the new product as a new user, because I was already an Inv R/T user prior to the switch over. I plot MP levels each night for trading the next day. Intra-day I am using the delta based "volume breakdown" and "footprint" tools to help me find set-ups and then enter trades. I adjust my position size in trades if the signals I use are at or not at MP levels....if at a MP level I will trade more position size. I do not do anything special for intra-day MP levels (POC, value area high, value area low, etc).....I just keep paying attention to the days heavy volume areas.

I am of the opinion that it is very important to understand "auction market theory" (or Market Profile) for any type of trading. I pick the optimal price levels to look for trade signals with MP, and then I use the MD as my signal to get me into the position (the trade entry).
