1. MD "divergence" with "shift".......aahhh yes, a trader after my own heart! :)

Great charts btw.....you have an excellent set-up!

Couple of good "divergence and shift" trades today in the last few hours with pretty clear indications imo...........

    cj,
I've seen you mention the Guppy line previously and it piqued my interest. Primarily because it's originator (presumably Darryl) hails from my own native Oz. I believe he lives, or used to, in Darwin. Now there's place to visit. I used to wonder why they would name a city after the man who originated the idea of "survival of the fittest" .... and then I went there. I wonder no more.

Having seen the chart you posted however I may have may some interest in the Line itself. However, it is off topic - but I'll cut you a deal. In the interests of fair play you post a chart of a day when the Guppy Line failed miserably ..... and then we'll let you tell us all about "the Guppy Line". Deal?

Or not, as the case may be. And then we'll consider your chart to be just a WCE (note to fellow Aussies: not the West Coast Eagles - the greatest footy team on the face of the planet) but a Well Chosen Example - a notion popularized by Jack Schwager and plaguarised liberally by my good self.

    regards,

  3. The GuppyLine (FairDinkam Line, CrikeLine, MateLine, BubbaLine, BonzoLine whatever) was referred to in conjunction with a MarketDelta comment you made about how, on another very low volume day, trade was not being facilitated...

    http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78980&perpage=6&pagenumber=3

You pasted a chart of footprints showing a minor uptrend that looked potentially like it had a positive trend follow thru coming since the foot prints looked 'promising' to the upside... but the rally died out...

On day's like today - 11/10, where there is only a whisper of volume... this 'game' can be played... i have posted two examples before but unfortunately used the word pivot point and every body went running for the hills...

Again i am not talking about a line i am talking about how MarketDelta shows when trade is being facilitated or NOT in a low volume venue... and how it differs from a more liquid high volume day where the MD & MP are more 'logical'....

don't know how much more ON TOPIC i can get...

As in the line becomes the focal point for a MarketProfile balanced day...

If you want me to post a example where the floor only drove the market back and forth thru a major line a few times on a VERY low volume day and then the market went zooming up 8 to 10 points without a nary look back then i can... since it would probably be a news event not facilitated trade... and a easy failure to avoid since it would smack you in the face in a few seconds...

otherwise to those who are watching the inside paper has driven the market 5 more times back and forth thru the CrikieLine of 1382 since i posted the PIC...

  7. Notice the zero-line rejection coinciding with entries. Same setups as shown before. Have a great weekend.

  10. HI,

I don't know "didley " about market Delta but I was wondering if any one could show how Market delta may have helped enter at the low volume Single tick area to get short in the 1385.50 area in Fridays S&P trade and then at the 1379.50 area which was an old POC if I am not mistaken...........I think S1 was down near 79 on friday too...so can someone post how market delta may have helped you get long.....I already saw a chart of a delta divergence or something and I guess what I am getting it is ......are there repeatable signals which help you confirm a bias using market delta at key price zones....I'm interested in consistent repeatable market delta signals and not so much a demo of all the bells and whistles MD has.......hope that last line doesn;t offend anyone and perhaps you are all still trying to come to grips with the Power of MD....thanks
