let me reword it then... supportive of the stock market and big bank earnings.

besides I have no idea how you would know the fed is not supporting the stock market.

its not like they open the books on how they create money to lend or where it goes.

    Its a very private bank.

True. But the point is the Fed is a private company owned by its member banks, and those banks make money by making sure the dumb money gets into the stock market at the top. When the retail buying is exhausted, the only thing in their interest is to allow the market to drop.

Fed liquidity, printing, whatever explains the rally over the last four years, not what is going to happen.

  3. Yes, they're hiding a few annual GDPs worth of assets they've bought on the sly in a vault in Switzerland...

And has anyone ever seen Britney Spears and Ben Bernanke in the same room at the same time? Just sayin'...

why not address whether the fed is a private bank... cause that was one of the points.

why not even address whether the fed buys futures or stocks to support the market?

why would you feel the need to post such worthless drivel?

Besides why would they hide a few annual GDPS when they can create unlimited amounts.... according to bloomberg they lent out 7.7 trillion during the financial crisis.

Look I don't hate the Fed they probably do a better job than this congress would... but I sure wish the fed would let the market clean itself up instead of this perpetual bubble cycle.

How does one plan for the future knowing the if the fed loses control of interest rates the bubble goes pop or boom.

  5. Because it is boring, jem, honestly...

I have engaged in similar discussions before (you can find the older threads if you so desire). It's obvious to me from your remarks that you've made up your mind already. There is no point in me trying to reason with you, as you will not be hearing what I will be saying. Your convictions are a matter of faith and so be it.

So why don't we talk about Britney instead?

My mind is made up in the way facts are facts.
I change my mind about facts when someone shows me the "facts" are wrong.

It would be odd change my mind unless you show me Bloomberg was wrong and the FED did not create trillions

or if you could should me the fed is not a private bank.

or prove the fed did not support the market.

otherwise why would I change my mind.

    regarding britney (sp)

I would rather get back to looking at my charts... they are prettier.

No signs of a recession for numerous years. In fact, World Bank has the US GDP growing by over 3% in 2015. So it seems obvious to me that if we get to say early 2016 without much of a bump in corporate profits or an economic slowdown, that the market levels will be healthy. And until we know what "healthy" means in a number, there is no way you can pick a number for the next low in a bad year after that.

There is no point in picking a level from 2010 and thinking it has any relevance in the future.

  8. all relationships can break down.
high unemployment like today usually means high stock market returns, but this correlation can break.
