Market charlatans

  1. The issue here is the subjective nature of the strategy-- while some claim to make it work, the majority can not because they are lacking the subjective skills that make it work. Clearly, this is not difficult material and is exceedingly easy to code the rules for a competent programmer-- -- if it actually an objective strategy, it can be coded and run automatically, the human interface would be nothing more than an imoediment to its success.

trusting it, not trusting it and a host of other isssues with money, scared or otherwise are irrelevant to an objective system. Don't trade if you are scared!

No amount of rhetoric can change this fact and its easy to prove the subjectivity by the uneven nature of results.

Are you still willing to share it.
Someone once showed me what they were doing in stocks and I had 7 years of profits after that .... a decade ago.

I would like to daytrade the cl.

IIRC you are a discretionary trader. This is like saying you taught 11 people how to paint the way you paint and only one of them showed any true artistic potential.

    Well yeah.

When I think of a trading strategy, I mean a mechanical method that can be followed successfully even by a novice, not something that requires intuition that may come naturally but more often is developed over years of focused experience.

The key question is always Can it be taught to a machine? If the answer is no, the strategy is discretionary and only a relative few will ever truly "get it".

It's a mechanical strategy with specific rules. It's a with-trend entry tactic in a strong trend using a 1-min chart for intraday scalping. I've already shared a couple of simplified versions of it on ET. If you want to refine it, have at it. Since there is no bad entry in a strong trend, any similar tactic will do.

Just look at a 1-min chart of CL and observe when price breaks out of a 5-min range, triangle, or HOD/LOD by at least 10 ticks. Make notes about what happens next. If you do the work, you'll find out how to easily profit from these instances when the CL becomes the poster child for Newton's First Law of Motion.

  7. This includes you, and don't ever forget it. There's no programming knowledge from a single place by you, no discussion on platforms, no vice for what problems you've had coding, no issues other than when your wife calls to trade cause she's the Price Driver. Mmm hmm.

Sure everything is easy to code, now what to code? Hmm? Got to think on that for like $250 large?

Humans should only watch. It's been a year for me with this experience, and I have about the same NP to show me and my subs as this time last year just with a new offering I've used since March 21st 2007 now worth $500 per month well into the top 5 World Cup Futures Trader Championship Competitors.

Good idea; although I recommend everyone get a heart-pumping, sweat-producing workout every day, day trading through major news releases doesn't count

Thanks Nodoji- I liked the trading today.
If it trades this way but heavier in the fall, I will be very happy.
