Long 10340 OPEN ym. I think that the markets will react with strength due to yesterdays tragedy. It will be view as more effort will now be taken to stop terrorism.
What is the price of this effort to diminish terrorist attacks and how much will it cost me? Seems like you stopped mid-thought, but i can understand---a trade is on. A shorterm calming affect will follow by a yelp when the bill comes. I will agree that yesterdays horrible events cleared out the market and was healthy in general terms when considering T/A and F/A.
Market price is based on perception. My stop is at entry so this is a no risk trade right now even it's it's stopped.
Excellent trade(setup)! Perception is an all encompassing word--many factors involved. I am interested in what you say about the market--please continue at your leisure. (sold some ROK at the 5/26 6/1 high today--will position in more shares on weakness as long as my level is not violated) EDIT: will AMGN ever stop going up? Bread winner this week. EDIT: IBM continues to trade above the 200 taking out resistance
http://charts.dacharts.com/2005-07-08/Samfox59.png Here is a chart for the above trade. I wanted to take it yesterday but I did not feel right trading after the London tragedy
To be honest I did not expect an additional 77 ticks before I got stopped on this trade or I would have left a few more on. Nice day !
Some stocks I'm following. ENTU http://charts.dacharts.com/2005-07-09/Samfox60.png WFMI http://charts.dacharts.com/2005-07-09/Samfox61.png one more for the fun of it. DIOD http://charts.dacharts.com/2005-07-09/Samfox63.png All of these have some potential for next weeks trading and all of them will be monitored for possible entries. Good trading to all !
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=MIX&t=1y&l=on&z=m&q=c&c= Company apparently owns 50% of http://www.myspace.com/ myspace if you have neverbeen there is the hottest social networking website on the web, having buried friendster. do your own DD but from what i understand they are signing up around 70K people a day and are only charging about 4-5 bucks for the adspace right now per 1000 clicks/banner adds (compare that to the 20-25 bucks per 1000 some sites get. That's bringing in 20M a month apparently. Considering probably half there users are in the demographic that advertisers slobber over, you know the advertising dollars are going up. The migration costs are debatable.....yahoo, msft, etc are working there way into the space so there is some risk there but the longer they wait the more critical mass myspace pics up. Would also note that "mix"'s core business involves adware and some other websites that are pretty much junk. They have hit gold though with myspace. quoted 9.68 as of this post, up 12% didn't see any news. Worth watching. (and no I don't own any) Only way I know of to play the social networking space sinc that and the whole rss feeds are where the action is at right now. Cheers.
