It is what it is. I have adapted. But, this week and next i plan to do less then nothing. Call me a weak hand but i think this country and the weekend festivities are blazing targets. I have been preparing for this time and do not plan to discount my reasoning at this juncture. As a funny side note, Ameritrade's Joe Moglia had an assistant tell me in short that they are not interested in housing 'profitable' traders that spend considerable dollar amounts. I could imagine how Knight Trimark started to lose interest in fading my trades because they were getting killed. When Ameritrade looked at the balance sheet they decided they need to get rid of this guy. FYI... I hold retail dollars with them. God bless them.
Yes that was a nice call. I find it too difficult to hold thru the midday congestion. Got stopped out for a scratch on the pm bo and now it will probably run up into the close without me.
How many ES contracts? EDIT: crude will pull up, you'll be selling ES all afternoon tomorrow. be ready. EDIT: weak participation when looking deeper into A/D issues and volume at NYSE. AMEX, oil heavy, was getting consistent selling pressure. weak at best, these movements. but, anything could change in minutes with the proper catalyst. hope you kill them.
I really need to re-activate my futures account. (I kind of retired when day trading hit the skids in early '03. To go from making 7-figures to barely scratching out 'regular guy money'- well, my heart just wasn't in it. Just started trading in earnest again a few months ago.) Have been scaling in and out of 200-400 SPY options & 7000-16,000 SPY underlying. Yes, I know futures would be better. Better tax rate & much more liquid than the options.
