Read the complaint. Cut and dried unless it's all a huge conspiracy which seems extremely unlikely. Why can't anyone take responsibility for their actions anymore?
Imo, the key word in the entire complaint is the word "reckless". He did not mean to cause anyone harm. This may mitgate the sentence.
Ms. Steward is not really a trader, she wasn't aware about legal process very much. So I guess she is more innocent then Mr. Cuban since he knew very well about trading, a lot more than her.
it is relative in proving the case is my point.... if a guy like me who buys and sells $50k worth of stock all of a sudden buys $1million in options on BSC ( in an opening transaction, by borrowing and taking out a second mortagage in my house ) then that would be alot easier to prove.....but a guy worth $2billion selling $2 or $3 million in stock to close out a position ...there is no chance in hell this guy even remotely gets a conviction...unless someone wants his ass...peace edit...i just read some of the sec complaint...so i might be off...im gonna read some more
Fry Cuban Martha went to jail for lying about it, not the actual insider trading. Re the pole. "could care less" means those that voted for this actually do care. If you could care less about something then there is some level (> zero) of caring involved. "couldn't care less" means you don't give a shit.
Cuban is your typical "Lear jet liberal" who has already made his fortune, so now he demands higher taxes paid by people earning $200k/yr. These fucking people piss me off so bad, because they assume that since they can afford higher taxes, that all "rich" people can. What they don't take into account is that there is a much bigger difference between someone making $200k and Cuban's income, than there is between that person earning $200k and someone on welfare.. Very wealthy people seem to want higher taxes, AFTER the fact, that they've accumlated their wealth. Of course income taxes don't affect that wealth, only the income from it.
Exactly ! I think Cuban should get at least as much if not more time then Martha did and he should take it like a man. up the butt
Yep, if she admited insider trading then she woulda got a fine proble but it's the 'lying' that gets em in the end....ego!
