I wouldn't but she's not really the problem here, she's didn't just "come up with this idea" and is just repeating what many have said, it's not an original thought of hers, it's just politically savvy to bring it to light. For someone who doesn't want Biden to be the nominee, I don't get why you'd be opposed to making the already shitty primaries a bit fairer.
Its not about Biden its about making democrat primaries end as fast as possible rather then needlessly drag on for months.I dont see how letting one of democrats most important constituencies vote earlier makes the process less fair.
so you agree that starting on the winningest state for Joe gives him an edge on other candidates thus securing his nomination faster? If you understand that, how is that fair to others running? If the DNC's purpose was to truly reach out to black voters by starting the campaign in SC instead of the aforementioned strategy disguised as a symbolic gesture for not addressing the issues that matters to black voters during this first term, why not start the campaign in a state with large black populations but shitty or neutral performance?
I stated GA would fine.So would other states with high black populations or where blacks have proven sway the general election with their turnout like PA,MI etc. With me this has nothing to do with Biden. For years I hoped Dems would make primaries shorter and the best way to do that would be to let blacks vote first.I dont like Biden but if a change I have been hoping for for 10-15 years is happening under his watch i still support that change since I have been hoping for it long before he became president.I will be royally pissed if they go back to IA and NH first after him. The current system of letting 2 states that has little to no impact on the primary or general election eventual winner vote first is fucking retarded imo.
I agree that the custom of always starting in the same state is dumb. I disagree that risking swing state NH for republican stronghold SC won't have impact on the general...especially if he loses the primary in NH over this. I'd prefer a lottery or better yet a rotation system. It's for the presidency of America, not the northeast. Let them duke it out in Alaska.
