***We prefer to focus on the more ( overal) successful type people who want to become traders.***

In that line, you are implying it.

***And when does giving the firm part of your profits equate to "having more money?"***

And when does having a boat load of money to blow on open orders by trading 20K roundtrip in your newbie days just to make up the desk fee, equate to "better chance to make it"?

Every single hedge fund manager gives up the vast majority of their profit to their clients, yet they are at the top of the food chain as far as income is concerned, wonder why?

It is called having someone else to back you up.

***"As good as your heart" - I know a lot of "good hearted people" who will never be traders, and (unfortunately) a lot of SOB's who do well.***

When Worldco speaks of heart, it means passion, effort, dedication, the will to fail over and over and over again yet still gets back up to play next day, the endurance to stay late and research after a big down day as well as a big up day.

And a heart of such nature, is often found on individuals who CAN NOT come up with the 25K. Individuals who are just getting started in their professional careers, with nothing to lose, but everything to win.

And you can not be the absolute best of the best in anything, without a pure heart. Especially in this business. The market will teach humbleness, the market will bring tough times upon ANYONE, and then, only then, when everything seems to be broken, you will realize . . .

THAT LOVE IS THE GREATEST STRENGTH . . .

hitman in the trading business you dont get the oppertunity to fail over and over again.you lose your capital and you are done.grow up man.until you can put up numbers to compare to dons you should bash a lot less and listen a lot more.
ps i have no connection to bright in any way.

  5. If this is true, then you have much to learn.

It seems that your incessant ability at churning out banal cliche is your "greatest strength".

IF YOU DELETE THIS POST, YOU ARE A COWARD.

In trading, you DO fail over and over again, anyone who didn't fail over and over again is not a trader. There are many many setbacks along the way, and to reach the top you have to suffer many many many defeats.

Don Bright has (supposedly) 20 year's worth of experience on me, and quite honestly, he should be embarrassed himself to jump in here and spam those boards. I mean, look, I have been keeping Worldco promotions off threads with his name in it, I wonder why doesn't he leave mine alone?

He is at a much higher level than me as far as the food chain is concerned, you don't see Walter, Gene, the owners from Schonfeld/Andover/Echo/Generic spamming those boards with 800 (oops, 900) something posts do you? They got more important things to do, like run the actual company instead of respond to every single post on this board within five minutes or less.

Why would an owner of any reputable firm except desperate individuals who have to ride his brother's coat tail of fame drag himself down to the level of another firm's front liners? Can't you find someone under you to do the dirty work?

Heart is precisely something he doesn't have, this is why his first name is not Bob. Hell, you don't see Bob on this board with 900 posts do you?

Did Don just phone some of his interns to add their 2 cents here?

    P.S.

As for amazing Don Bright numbers, I outscored him every month 10/01, 11/01, 12/01, without ever taking anything more than 1000 shares (versus his 2000 share positions). Now, obviously, trading bigger size is a must for bigger gains, but all I am trying to say is, for all the "you are working for your broker" comments I received for my own trading, that's exactly what Don Bright is teaching.

No, he did not show his full day results, that's not my fault, consider I am a very heavy open trader myself and rarely do much in the afternoon, if he posts his full day results, I am sure he would beat me (then again, I am not sure if he ever trades after the open, given that he seems more fitting as a full time moderator for this board), but definitely not to the margin someone who has been trading for 20 years should.

  7. personaly i want to thank don for his posts.i have learned usefull things from him.there are many on this thread who share their experience for others to learn from.
then there are a few who bash others and from what they post its plain to see they either have only been trading a short time and think they know it all or are searching for an excuse for their failures.
