Marc Faber has an exceptional track record. I listen to him closely.

Of course we are not the same person. I'm not sure how you could reach that conclusion logically.

Too much noise and too little signal here for me to post a lot, plus I don't have a huge amount of time to be here. I mostly lurk as you can tell.

I've seen a lot of people with 1000's of posts a year come and go, but I'm still here. Think about it.

it must be an old picture in which he was a picture of health. regrettable. he probably went on a severe diet which might lengthen his life.

  5. Only one purpose I can think of. To keep the thread bumped. In general when someone posts a large first post, and with lots of links, nobody really reads it or starts a dialogue about the original post unless others are too. And of course the only reason I can think of that you would post on this topic when you almost never post would be that Faber is your idol.

Just a theory...Its absolutely possible that its just a coincidence that a bunch of posters that post only once per month all showed up at the same time to post randomly on this specific topic.

  6. Well, I guess sometimes coincidence is the best theory.

Perhaps it is possible that some quality members of this board find Dr. Faber an interesting subject to discuss versus the daily "Top Call" threads or "Trading is for losers" thread etc etc etc.

All I am saying is that have we all posted in other threads together in the past? Do we have similar account creation dates? Is our writing style the same? Do we have the same IP addresses or close on a regional basis (mods could tell), have you actually done any due diligence or is this just a blind-ass assertion?

Apparent patterns can be a dangerous thing for the human mind, particularly as it relates to trading.

Peil you have had some interesting posts in the past so I don't mean to totally disparage you, but I'm just saying that I think this board would be a more collegial place if people considered what they were proposing carefully before posting it, or just trolling for controversy etc.

  8. Yeah...it was a blind-ass assertion. Of course I didnt do any DD on this, and why would I? I waste enough time on Elitetrader without stalking its members to see who is who. :p

  10. America prospered due to the contribution of H1Bs (Albert Einstein, Linus Torvalds etc)
Time now for Americans to migrate and contribute to rest of the world.
