“Pat Cipollone and Patrick Philbin, the White House counsel and his deputy under President Donald Trump, were interviewed by the FBI in connection with boxes of sensitive documents that were stored at Mr. Trump’s residence in Florida after he left office,” the New York Times reports.

Key detail: “On June 3, counterintelligence officials with the Justice Department’s national security division went to Mar-a-Lago to collect remaining documents with classified markings. At that point, at least one Trump lawyer signed a statement saying material with the classified markings had been returned… But officials then used a subpoena to obtain surveillance footage of the hallway outside a storage room at Mar-a-Lago and saw something that alarmed them.”

Trump Lawyer: DOJ should release the names of the rats so MAGAts can start violently threatening them for turning on The Donald.

Just release the names of the rats to Alex Jones InfoWars so that he can release their work addresses, home addresses, and telephone numbers to his followers for them to troll, stalk, harass, threaten, and maybe kill because of their conspiracy theories.

I'm predicting a future criminal trial for one of InfoWars followers that took the FBI conspiracy theory too serious and he/she acted on it via violence against law enforcement or against a Mar-a-Lago employee/visitor that ratted out Trump.

“Former president Donald Trump and close aides have spent the eight days since the FBI searched his Florida home rushing to assemble a team of respected defense lawyers. But the answer they keep hearing is ‘no,’” the Washington Post reports.

“The struggle to find expert legal advice puts Trump in a bind as he faces potential criminal exposure from a records dispute with the National Archives that escalated into a federal investigation into possible violations of the Espionage Act and other statutes.”

Said one prominent Republican lawyer: “Everyone is saying no.”

It would be a set-back if the motion is granted. It would be dark if threats of violence are actualized.
Not surprised. They are looking at not getting paid and an opportunity to go to jail.

btw, the Lawyers would also have to have TS/SCI Clearance.

Donnie should get a government appointed public defender. He/she would be more competent than any in private practice still willing to take him as a client & the lawyer would at least get paid courtesy of a dem and/or Biden's government.

Nobody wants to be Trump's lawyer...

Trump is rushing to hire seasoned lawyers — but he keeps hearing ‘No’
