To put things into perspective California aqueduct is something 400 plus miles and the US is approximately 2500 miles coast to coast. We can move the water and open up large areas of the country while doing it.

The country has been falling apart for a long time with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

The only good thing about the Build Back Better plan is that the Republicans must stop telling their constituents in their home state that money was coming to help their state and families while at the same time they were saying NO to the BBB.

Regardless, the next Republican President will try to do the same thing and will probably ask for more money. If Manchin is still around...he'll vote YES because it's good for West Virginians. :D

It will obviously be called something else instead of the Build Back Better plan. :sneaky:

    That's Politics

Most of the money coming back was in the infrastructure bill, which passed. The liberals in Congress are now mad at Biden for splitting the infrastructure bill off from BBB.

It doesn't change the fact that when a Republican President gets into office...the BBB will pass under a different name and a very good chance by more money with the approval of Manchin for the greater need of West Virginians if he's still around.

The rich are still getting richer and the poor are still getting poorer. We'll probably have another Pandemic to ensure that happens to (sarcasm). :D

  6. Yup. It's a multi-tiered dynamic though.

You have a whole tier of lefty progressives who are mad - not only becaused they did not get their free stuff but because they got played when they passed the first bill on a prayer and a wish that the second one would pass too.

But there is also a whole tier of dems that are not saying the quiet part out loud- WHICH IS THAT THEY ARE HAPPY AS A CLAM AT HIGH TIDE THAT THAT PIG DID NOT PASS AND NOW THEY DO NOT HAVE TO CAMPAIGN WITH THAT PIG IN THEIR FACE. Midterms coming right up. They don't dare to buck Pelosi or buck the Squad so they got cornered into supporting the whole enchilada. So now they are going around like those fake mourners that the North Koreans hire to mourn when a family member of high official dies. Then they go home at Christmas and think "wow, I am in a swing state and just dodged a major frigging bullet. I already have my hands full explaining Kamala's and Biden's shiite. I dont need to have to splain my own stupid votes. And if voters did want the program, I just blame it on Manchin. Thank you Lordy. You da man."

Swing state dems. Then the minute they get on the plane to go home, it's like someone flipped a switch and they are all smiles. If you squint real hard you can see Eric Swalwell in the back row there with a new girlfriend.

I vote to separate the country to two, blue and red. Just like the brits put up with India and Pakistan. In fullest of time, one side will win.

Like now, even though moderates hold all 3 branches of government.Other than spending and tying to spend trillions of dollars with no added revenue Biden hasn't done squat and there is no difference between now and when Trump was in office.

That would be a great idea and so would I.I wish a deal could have been made between Lincoln and The Confederacy to let them go as long as they ended slavery. If it wasn't for slavery it would have been best if The Confederacy had won.
