Collective2's home page posts results for GAINERS THIS WEEK (ALL SYSTEMS). Three of my systems made the list. (Actual names are truncated, per ET policy.)
True to form, another sick reply from GTS. Of course he wants to spread the misery - after all, it's no fun looking at his annual trading p&l all by himself. gA
Just start the thread over, but leave out mentions of hedge funds and other market commentary. Just list your calls and trades of specific instruments along with your logic (i.e. chart). This is 100 pages of what appears to be an internet scratch pad of ideas, dreams and trades. I havent really read much of it. Its not easy to follow. I want to be more positive, but you have to give me a reason to be positive.
Getting a bit over-allocating into solar stocks (LDK + SOLF + SOL = 7.5k/24k. . .but with SOLF at 18 (3 points ITM) we may soon close this one to "lock in the gain". I'd like to see growth stocks continue to broaden, but at this juncture in our 5+ year bull market - during a gift, healthy new rally. . .like 2007, I don't think it much will. So for now Energy-Other group is receiving our "managed" risk. Friday, May 16, 2008 9:45 pm EST Bought 100 shares of SOL (ReneSola Ltd.) at $25.20 (ask). Sold (1) SOL Jun 25 (SOLFE) call option contract at $3.10 (bid). Stop Loss: $22.10 pS
Closing these to "lock in the gain". Now that SOLF is closed we are not too much allocated in this sector. Friday, May 16, 2008 12:55 pm EST Bought (1) JRJC Jun 20 (JQJFD) call option contract at $7.40 (ask). Sold 100 shares of JRJC (China Finance Online Co. Ltd.) at $26.75 (bid). Bought (1) SOLF Jun 15 (QFGFC) call option contract at $7.30 (ask). Sold 100 shares of SOLF (Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd.) at $21.70 (bid). Meanwhile our JRJC position was established last Friday for a nice 9% gain. p$$ense
Friday, May 16, 2008 2:50 pm EST Bought 100 shares of GTXI (GTX, Inc.) at $15.75 (ask). Sold (1) GTXI Jun 15 (GQHFC) call option contract at $2.55 (bid). Stop Loss: $13.20 Going out on a limb here with another biotech - that may bite us in the butt. Good entry and technical and fundamental ratings. Good call option premiums and puts aren't as high. Maybe that will be a good deciding factor. Either way we are going to keep a tight stop-loss on this and hope one morning it isn't undercut with a gap lower. paysense
3:35 pm EST Bought 100 shares of FEED (AgFeed Industries, Inc.) at $16.50 (ask). Sold (1) FEED Jun 17.5 (FQZFW) call option contract at $1.50 (bid). Stop Loss: $15.00 Taking on a bit more risk - this time adding to our position with an good entry into an excellent stock. Problem here is that the issue has been pulling back (weak), yet still looks ok. Again the high option premium provides ample cushion (perhaps) to the downside. We shall see. pS Good weekend to all.
