He still spends, buys, spoils (just because he drives a Buick doesnât mean he doesnât have other nicer cars) but because he's not completely engulfed in his money, he appreciates it. Why do YOU spend money? To make yourself happy,, right? Maybe WEB (and those like him) are already genuinely happy.

Larry is one of the billionaires that live it up in style. I read all the money he's spending are loans from the banks against his stocks. So all of his wealth is tied to oracle stock - so if oracle tanks there goes his money. He was number 2 for the richest man back in 1999.
and don't forget the guy with the bad hair, waste airspace by flying needlessly in his helicopter and plasters his name on many buildings as he can...
what the hell is wrong with you guys? Being someone who actually knows his son and grandson personally I can say that buffett lives the way he does because he truly wants to live that way. He enjoys making the money not spending the money. Its just a big game to him (a game that he is really good at). By the way that big jet someone said he flies around in was sold a long time ago because Charlie Munger said it didn't make financial sense for them to have one.
