Malls and stores are packed.

  1. Everytime I go out it seems that Mall parking lots, grocers as well are packed with autos. And traffic still heavy on the streets even in the middle of the day.

This is where I am confused, the economy does not look to be shrinking when you see the mob of people at malls, restaurants, grocers and Apple stores packed to the hilt.

  2. I went to home depot Saturday. All clerks waiting around ready to help you and hardly a customer.

  3. Winn-dixie/Save-Rite is closing 3 stores within 1 mile of my house. Im guessing Publix parking lot will soon be packed!

  4. "stores are packed" is meaningless- a economic fallacy

imagine if the economy was booming- potentially retailers would open additional outlets thereby disbursing the demand from one store.

additionally its impossible to predict how much "more packed" retailers would could get, but I prefer the first scenario as it is more likely that a better environment would have entrepreneurs opening new concepts and even additional shopping centers
