    That is a beautiful place, but what's the hurricane situation on the Maldives? Do they get hit often?

    I thought the same thing. But nevermind the hurricanes, the land will be under water in 7 years:

    "According to former Maldivian presidentMohamed Nasheed, the Maldives are ranked the third most endangered nation due to flooding from climate change. In March and April 2012, Nasheed stated, "If carbon emissions continue at the rate they are climbing today, my country will be under water in seven years."

    That is a lots of money down the drain for spending there a few weeks a year. The good thing is, you don't need a jacuzzi:

    "The surface water temperatures reached an all-time high in 2016, at 31 degrees Celsius in May."
