Making JH' SCT and all his material alive

Discussion in 'Journals' started by WchPl, Apr 25, 2018.

  1. I noticed that also when I compared the descriptive versions of the EE to the EE sheets provided. I chose to go with the descriptive EE as more important as Jack chose to spell those out in specific verbiage. Thoughts?

Your logic makes sense to me.

There are descriptive texts of the above EE's. The info is scattered among the threads focused on the RDBMS. @tiddlywinks usually has fingertip access to them.

In my awareness when Jack described the 56 unique elements of the Market's System of Operation it was before adding PP4a and PP5b. I interpret this in the light of RDBMS as an adaptable and resilient methodology.

All the EE's are important to provide a complete system for they describe a specific PV context coupled with annotating price geometry and logging. When integrated they inform whether continue is present or change is due. I interpret PVT, SCT, RDBMS, SSR as a highly precise descriptive language of how the markets operate. They all interlock.

However in terms of learning and applying the system/s, for me it is useful to prioritize and exclude components in favor of increasing my comprehension for the component that I am focusing upon.

For example, my logging of turns are currently based upon relative bar volume and not currently coupled to EE's like Jack has on his charts. However it's not a big logical leap to use this understanding to distinguish Dom/non-Dom trend segments defined by EE's.

The EE's define the end's of trend segments. Whether the new assigned P1 is a continuation or change of trend (without the Modrian and Move Reversal sheets) sometimes needs the T1 to lock-in to get clear confirmation on direction.

One could just scalp and be successful with the method, however for me my personal grail is hold/reverse trading on the 5m at scale. There is still some logic for me to work through, however the majority of my current work is an emotional journey. I'm exploring how good and easy can I allow it to be. Like most folks indoctrinated in an pain-oriented culture instilled with a hard-work and no pain no gain work ethic, there have been unsupportive beliefs and resulting emotional blocks to ease, grace and natural well-being similar to the shells of an onion that I've had to and continue to work through.

    FWIW...

While I don't use EE's directly, I do recognize many of them in real-time and use as part of MADA, I would say unconsciously through osmosis.

The problem I have with using EE's directly, bar-by-bar, is fractal jumping. Every fractal, whether being monitored visually, through logs, or iterative refinements, PLUS fractals not being monitored in any way, has a beginning, an end, and a middle. For me, EE's muddle the picture to the point of not knowing where I am.

My ways are more tuned to Failsafes and Bookmarks.
And yes, EE descriptions are at my fingertips! :)

    Hi to everyone

I have now recovered 100% of my health, today is the day I'm back. I missed the work and our discussions. I just wanted to give thanks to all of you who gave me support while I was down. Thank you very much.

Later in the day, after I have re-read all of your messages, I'll try to produce the best I can, taking it easy, slowly, to follow JamesRoscoe advice.

Hope all of you have experienced the best during my absence, and that it will continue even better now your student is back ;)

    See you in some hours

Reminds me of the riddle of how to get out of a windowless and doorless room. The only things in the room are a mirror, a table and oneself.

Well, I've just read your documents. It's 100% sure than since the beginning, I've missed some crucial concepts; cause 95% of what is written is inaccessible to my comprehension. I understand there are different labelling of Volume points but I feel very far away from being able to label things correctly. Anyway, the volume test procedure and all the around, is the biggest challenge for me since the beginning. So nothing new for the now.
Thanks a lot for this advice, cause it was precisely the feeling I had : behind many days in class before a final. Thank you to remind me to take it easy.
Here may reside something important. I did not know what "cut on your pc" mean. Google says " turn your pc off". Then you say "get out your log and label the first bar you see end as a P1". How is it possible to log any bar with the PC off ?
When I ask this kind of question, I feel myself like the most stupid person on earth. It makes me see all my incompetence right in front of my face. I will never give up even if that kind of feeling is not pleasant, but I strongly need to remedy that kind of incomprehension. Can you help me with that please ? I would just love to follow your advice, do the job and get a AHA.

Today is my "welcome back to the work" day. I focus on the VTP. I read as I said, JamesRoscoe's document about VTP and EE.
As I'm lost with it, I am just rereading entirely the Journal we're in now, to be back to things I was sure about.
For the now, it is not helping me, but I hope when I'm finished with rereading entirely this thread, I will be able to try to fill the log with the VTP. I have no other choice to doubt my doubt about my capacity to do it.
