Here are my current exercises, works and practices : A) Do MADA and Log at least 1 chart a day B) Review litterature building a corpus of texts made up with each parts of each post from JH classified by item (for example : BO,T1, fractal, Failsafe, Lats). I'm currently rereading everything of the SCT from scratch / butt handed / MSO threads especially and organizing each item by a sum of texts from JH exclusively. The goal is to have, from those three threads, everything that has been said by JH about any item. It's a lot, and I'm sure I'll find any answer from that. Lastly, before I stopped the work for 3 weeks, I had found doing this, many answers concerning for example waits, Lats, squish, BO,T1, OB measurements etc... As an example, so far in my building work, this is all what JH said in thoses three threas about "OB measuring" : "The OB behaves as two bars. Theory was tough to work through I did parts of OB forming to catch on. I divide log row first Upper level and lower level. I do whole volume test procedure on upper level. I find if there is a falsafe to put it on upper level. Then I look under type of trend to see if both prior and this ee give a "c turn". Then I assign a P1 to the upper level since it is a failsafe. This means the "Next" in the lower level is a T1. On one bar (an outside one only) a p1 to T1 is an EE named PP4. This is a second turn on the OB. Thus on the chart I number the Order of the turens on one bar The upper level is turn #1 and the lower level is turn # 2. This is a trading challenge when on the five minutes. To ameliorate the challenge, use the context. On the 30 min, keep current and notice where the 30 fractal is going and what is next in channels. There are many simpler OB contexts. I chose the above one so that two turns could be noted. As you build your 3-ring of examples, you will get familiar with each combo on OB's Our trading room team is flawless these days." C) Building the matrix merging EE's / JH's Charts / number of post in the thread and reference it all to get answers even more easily. D) Building my functional total Matrix of EE's as follows. It has been a huge challenge to find, decide and fix the way I needed to do it. I think it's ok now. I've begun it today from all my past handdrawn, mindmapped or other-way attempts. That's how it looks so far. Basically, the more I build this matrix the more I recognize instantaneously any EE on any chart when doing MADA.
I would like to thank everyone who has participated in this thread and in the past on ET regarding the methodology. It is good to see you back, WchPl. I have been apprehensive to post for many reasons that I am still working to uncover. I believe a part has been due to my reluctance to ask for help knowing that the answers to my questions are already published in one way or another. This journey is nowhere near the end for me and it has already been one of my most surreal experiences. Two of the many things I am unclear on are Retros and the Move Reversal table. For Retro, I have seen bar 4 and bar 7 mentioned. My current understanding is on bar 4 of a Lat, a Retro process is activated where all bars in the Lat are logged. For the MR table, how does one know which turn an EE is? How does this determine if a colored blob is placed by the EE and turn designation? I thought the colored blob indicates a C turn. Lastly, are the index cards labeled "Pink", "Gold', "Hold", "Early Exit" (I am missing an "Early Entry" card)...etc related to RDBMS or an earlier version of SCT? My current understanding is that the index cards are to operate on top of RDBMS in the 5 min time frame to ensure one is always on the right side. As I am looking over the essence page now, I am wondering if the move reversal indicates a potential to go either way and thus a point where an exit and possible re-entry must be made to take the full offer of the market. I'd like to thank everyone again, I appreciate the time and energy that has gone into making everything come alive.
Thank you for posting and sharing your experience. Most likely starting a personal journal would be specifically supportive for you. WchPl has done extraordinary work in sharing his progress, his struggles, understanding and insights. Even though he has offered to share his workspace, having a workspace of your own would support your effort. Without posting your own work, it'll be difficult to generate answers contextually specific to your level of differentiation. There are the questions you are asking and they are based upon a level of understanding of the material that can only be sussed out when posting your own work. The answers you think you need have contextual pre-reqs that if not in place will just be counter-productive to the learning effort. The sharing of work serves multiple purposes, one of which is to leave trail markers upon the path for others whom will resonate with the approach and follow the trail behind you. You are correct in that most of the answers are indeed published and yet by design there are answers that can only be logically deduced through diligent reasoning. Many a conditioned belief of CW will be sacrificed upon the altar of truth. Truth that can only be experienced through direct observation as well as diligent and rigorous testing. As for retro, yes bar4 of a lateral initiates retro. Lat7 on Jack's charts defines a notation for BO/FBO of a lateral and is in the realm of defining a sub-lateral which is more of an advanced topic. As for turns, they flow out of the correct assignment of EE’s, turns and trend types distinguished in the Modrian table. A prerequisite for this is understanding the archetypal trend as it relates to price moves/volume sequences. Understanding and annotating tapes/traverses/channels, drawing rtl’s/ltl’s and BM’s in the appropriate places are also essential building blocks. RDBMS does simplify these annotations more precisely than SCT but the mental perception of them is always present via the use of drills to install them in LTM. The MR table is to identify false positives as well as provide the complimentary logical structure by which the Modrian functions. It is consulting in a specific sequence. At first one can use the colors that link the Modrian and the MR together to support LTM associations and later one can just use black/red filled boxes as the indication that a MR is/is not at hand. MADA is about collecting a dataset, it’s not just one datapoint that signals a turn is at hand for there is a nesting of fractal trend segments that determine trading actions which are dependent upon one’s level of differentiation and their trading time horizon. The index cards you are referring to are a mix. The first two are associated with the 30m annotations and the rest are trading actions which are linked to the Essence diagram. If you aren’t up to speed with MADA, annotating 30m/5m charts and logging on the 5m on the HRE, implementing trading actions would be pre-mature. Creating associations pre-maturely is counter-productive and activates emotional states that are CW based. In contrast, seeking understanding, insight and cognition leads to increasing one’s facility and overall capacity. This leads to the possibility of extracting the market’s full offer which is a realm exclusive to the minority. This minority are those with thinking minds willing to put in the required due diligence, challenge out-dated and unsupported beliefs in order to actually ‘see’/perceive the Market’s System of Operation by applying the scientific method in direct observation of market phenomenon. A pre-req is adopting a philosophy of ‘paying it forward’ and channeling extracted wall st capital towards fixing local ‘main st’ problems instead of increasing one’s own self-aggrandizement. This is an aspect that is vibratory in it's nature and excludes those that are not resonate with it. There are many contemporary problems of our age that could use more efficient applications of capital, that’s what’s up for any awake enough to see that we no longer exist in a world where it’s business as usual. Back on the road. Along last week, even though I've not been present here, I've started again to work. I'm about to end the EE's Matrix. Some rare cases cause me little troubles sometimes and I'll expose them soon. The process of deductive thinking has increased a lot. Especially when thinking about the VERS (Volume element ranges sheet). It appears to me now that, there are like "two worlds" for them. The first one begins with the first P1, while the second one opens it doors when a first rev chron appears. In other words, when merging litterature and sheets descriptions of any item, what seemed at first contradictious now looks clear. Like, There's a pure definition (first world) and when a first rev chron appears for example, the definition is like less rigid by loosing some absolute necessity of satisfying some parameters for the item to be ID'd. Another way to say it, for me, is that it deals with the six definitions of any volume element : we have the litteral description, then we have the definition for the "first" example of any item, then we have the definition for its second apparition (repeat), then we have its definition for what I perceive as an "echo" (rev chron), then we have its definition for the "gate" and lastly we have its definition with the "Kill". Seeing it this way has let me to be able to ID a very important number of volume bars (either Volume elments or EEs) on my Matrix. The feeling is great cause so far, I truely believe in what I've done cause I see it fits correctly with the logic, the guidelines and the definitions, both litteral and matrix's one. It may be bad expressed, but for now no big deal. Anyway, I feel i've to a huge Aha on this lastly. The feeling is so great even though I realized soon or not that my DD's are incorrect, I wouldn't feel bad for that I have had a nice pleasure doing and thinking about it, and in addition to that, it has unlocked other things that I'm sure about now. Along last week, I had no PC at my disposition so I've done the work handly. I've started from the last visual item I had posted, and added, scenario after scenario, ay possibility of surge. From 1 volume bar to two, then from two to any three bars combos and so on. Currently, I've developped 2 scenarios at range 2 (2 bars), 7 sceanrios at range 3, 18 scenarios at rannge 4, 42 scenarios at range 5, and I am at the 53th scenario of range 6. The goal is to produce the finite Matrix of every posibility of volume bars combos AND to find at least one example of any EE's that is possible to make surge by doing so. Some EE's can't be on this Matrix due to their nature. No big deal, I currently already have almost every one of them in mind and know them by heart when focused AND to make appear at least one time any item of the VERS. Of course, most of the items appear MANY times already at range 6. The ultimate goal is to have a mindmap which would let me know at any moment "I come from there, I'm here now, I can only see this/that happening now". Sort of great comfort. The reasoning process is wonderful even though I'm not always 100% sure about what I've discovered by myself. For now, I'll use my time today to re-draw on my PC all I've done last week by hand. Then I'll end it as soon as posiblen and stick to the three other exercises I am on : doing at least one log everyday, build my corpus, build the matrix of EE's-references from JH's(' students) charts.
