No. You are the worst. Quit now. Everybody made a fortune today. Kidding dude. Better to observe then to jump into something you aren't used to or your strategy isn't prepared for. Last time I checked the markets are open again tomorrow. You might be lucky as i heard they are open the following day as well. Gotta have a sense of humor in this business.....
Yes me too. There systems held up great. I use TT and it was moving tick for tick with the market. Even during the first limit down to the 2nd one. No delays...Very impressive.
I had issues with TOS. It was fine until around 10 AM, then I had to reconnect and it took forever to load and would not update bars. CPU usage seemed normal / low. Not sure what the issue was. I was watching SPY, but it was moving too fast for me. I was planning to short in the morning, but saw too much buying pressure. I think I'll just wait until market settles down. I'm looking at buying some XIV. Volatility can't stay at these levels forever.
I agree. My biggest/best days kind of just happen randomly. -- On days you think it's a big one...like today...they usually turn out to be just duds.
Actually after going through both my brokers trade logs, I ended up making ~ $700. I'm still surprised because the TF halt was a huge upsetting loss since I never experienced a halt before especially in the futures market and did not know how to handle the situation as well as TOS platform locking up. Sure I could have made double what I made last Friday/Thursday without the huge TF loss, but I'm just happy to have survived and end up with a small win. Also thank you guys for platform recommendations. I will have to take a look and make the change asap.
I had an alarm set for where I wanted to enter with the trend, didn't hear it, checked phone, alarm hit so entry hit and ohhh 600pips wasted LOL Didn't play after that madness!
