Indeed. Im holding my Eurodollar spreads that I've been holding on since I put them on the day before NFP. I may well take them off tomorrow given the sentiment. Nothing like Eurodollasr for a sure and steady thing when the world turning to shit! I see no need to try and day trade this sort of vol is some index or FX. Its a fools errand for most. I'll return to those markets when things have calmed down a bit.
I use Ninjatrader systems, what I call target systems so they control entries and exits for me, however, theres a short delay in between when i activate them and when they actually submit orders it was noticeable today. Wish i held that 1947 short to 1875 lmao!
Was short TF before market open, it tanks then gets halted, right after the halt resumes it zooms up so I'm at a huge loss. At the same time ThinkorSwim was the biggest piece of garbage early morning today, can't see my charts updated for almost 1-6 mins delay so I have to rely on quotes on IB only instead of my charts like normal. Lost huge with the trading halt& chart delay. I managed to trade the VIX like a god however as well as the NQ and made 98% back of what I lost. Quite a fun day other then the halt and chart delay. Anyone know a good charting platform similar to TOS but in which I can actually rely on to stop working like today's open?
i'm relatively new, but... What does that mean or translate to in terms of % profit margin, or $ gain/loss?
I hope I'm not the only one who felt unprepared on what plays to make today. Felt like I just didn't plan out possible scenarios enough and was partially content to just observe.
My biggest problem was looking at the numbers on the screen, open at 1930 then drop to 1899 then gap open to 1830 nutso
I use esignal. It didn't have any delays even during the carnage in the ES. The charts were going tick for tick with the ladders on my TT. Both systems worked perfectly during the insanity today.
