The illusion is well crafted that many believe the traditional GOP remains in control when in reality it's the MAGA GOP that has taken over like a virus infection...a MAGA full of White Supremacists, White Christian Nationalists (in name only), and other far-right groups. There's a reason why I see more "The South Will Rise Again" shirts, car license plates, police violence against minorities, increasing right-wing radicals joining our military ranks, and more user names online with 88 (Heil Hitler) whenever I visit the States (South Dakota, Illinois, Tennessee and Kentucky). Sadly, I saw a woman place a small Neo-Nazi flag on an American veteran's grave at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Illinois while visiting the grave site of a relative. Yeah, I complained to a nearby cemetery maintenance worker. He then walked over and removed the Neo-Nazi flag...he then put a replacement...an American flag. Those who believe the illusion or can not see the reality of existing as flip-floppers and sell-outs because they didn't get what they wanted except for what the traditional GOP agreed upon with the Democrats against the wishes of Trump and his radical MAGA. It's not just a growing problem in the United States. I recently saw it spreading northward into Canada during the Truck strikes and recently again at my young teenage daughter's volleyball game in Quebec, Canada when one of her friends introduced their relatives that recently moved from the States to Canada... He was a U.S. Veteran and from the 82nd Airborne. Also, he had an American Eagle tattoo with the number "88" embedded in the middle of that tattoo. He reached out to shake my hand...I turned my back on the idiot. I was also saddened he's one of our Veterans with bullshit right-wing progranda tattoos. I then walked away with my daughter who one day will be a West Point cadet...following in the footsteps of her mother. She'll one day be in the position to recognize these idiots within our ranks when she earns her commission and serves as her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents did before her. I then gave her a lesson about Neo-Nazi treatment of Jews and Native Americans in America. Never be a sell-out to your Native history. For decades now, warped ideas about Indigenous struggles have buoyed conservative rhetoric and white nationalist fantasies and been used to justify racist violence. And while the far and extreme right share a hollow, disingenuous affinity with Indigenous people, their appropriation of Indigenous victimhood and rights language is providing long-burning fuel for everything from right-wing propaganda on Fox News to extremist manifestos and movements worldwide. https://www.hcn.org/issues/51-16/tr...priate-indigenous-struggles-for-violent-ends/ Native American tribes in the Southwest publicly abandoned their use of the swastika symbol in their arts and crafts because the Nazis had soiled its symbolic power. German newspapers did not report on that particular reaction. They, as well as today’s German neo-Nazis, preferred to compare atrocities committed against Native people during the “Indian Wars” with the near-extermination of the buffalo and the Anglo-American bombing campaigns against German cities in World War II. https://frankusbeck.net/2015/06/03/...ture-the-flag-from-neo-nazis-in-north-dakota/ The above White Supremacy is not my GOP...the GOP I did not grow up with. Instead, it's the bullshit called MAGA that flip-floppers and sell-outs are embracing to exploit minority groups to be used as a spear for the continuation of that hate. We learned long before Trump and MAGA not to be disillusioned by the White Supremacy propaganda bullshit under the facade of freedom of speech...their right to display their hate & symbolism... the reason why we understand that Trump is the greater evil... A MAGA I will never shake hands with and never grew up with in a GOP family. wrbtrader
But you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder, rubbing elbows with them in the polls, vying for the same guy. Whether you like them or not, you will have, for all intents and purposes, become one of them when it comes to the vote. And so, as it relates to the trajectory of the country, a distinction without a difference. Tell me, of all of the people you would have otherwise voted for, who among them would opt for Trump over Biden? Names, please.
Politicians none.People I know in my personal life and political circle, many. Polling and some primary voting shows around 20% of people who voted for Biden in 2020 wont be doing so in 2024.They also show around 10% of 2020 Biden voters will be voting for Trump in 2024.That number will grow in the coming months as Biden continues to piss off more and more people who voted for him in 2020 imo.
Disagree.Kind of like saying America is Russia loving soviet communist because we teamed up with Russia to beat Hitler.
That's a specious argument. You're not gonna beat Hitler; you're gonna vote for him. And that guy in Russia? No different.
Politicians, even ones like Bernie,AOC and Warren have their careers to think about, regular people who careers are not in politics do not.
