67% of lottery winners that won more than 10 million...they state they will keep working. Reality, only 52% of lottery winners that won more than 10 million....they actually did stay at their job. The % is higher if the job had health/medical benefits and pension plan. If you're single with no children...a million will get you by for awhile if your cost of living is very low...assuming you don't have any health/medical needs down the road. P.S. You can enjoy life, family and kids along with going hunting / fishing even if you don't make a few million from the markets. wrbtrader
Or put it another way, you can enjoy your life even more when you're good at what you do and you happen to love doing it. And if you don't love what you do, chances to make those millions are slim anyway. I hope it happens to all of us, but l would give the person two years of fishing max before he/she back at it. I would definitely take at least a year off to travel the world. But if I do all the hard work to be good enough to get into the NHL, there is no way I'm quitting after my first two year contract expires. I'm going for glory!
Did somebody make the calculations to see if the reality is as the video shows? I think it is completely wrong. I put everything in a spreadsheet: the number of contracts taking in each of the different orders I assume an intraday margin of $ 1.000, which is probably too low when going in the hundreds of contracts the profit and/or open p/l the capital needed to trade the open position the number of open contrcats in every step Except if I made a mistake, to make that 1 million you need up to $647.900 margin. So not from $100 to 1 million. Even for opening the first trade you need $1.000 margin intraday.
I think we have to stay realistic as it has only 0.00000001% possibilty that you would be able to cobert $100 into 1 million in a quick time. Yes it is possible if you are willing to give 4-5 years on a good money management plan to your trading career. Are you interested in it?
4-5 years with good money management?? Get the hell out of here with that bullshit. It’s not possible in real life at all. Cut the bullshit. You can’t trade $100 to $1M, period. I don’t care what any spreadsheet says. If you were in fire for 5 years you could go from $100k to $1M, but it’s still highly unlikely.
