So it was a false alarm? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/02/nyregion/coronavirus-new-york-bodies.html Oh, and I forgot to mention Florida in my last post.
I'm not sure I'd use the comment that it was a "false alarm", but in many cases it was not needed. There were even pictures flying around on social media of trucks full of body bags (until someone showed that the picture wasn't even from the United States or about Covid). I've posted the data - extensively - in Florida and in some other states in the DeSantis thread. I will happily debate or discuss any of the data you believe to be different, fraudulent, or invalid/incorrect. But if all you want to do is speculate or post news articles, we can do that too. But I prefer the data. For hospitals in Florida, and the ICU utilization, this is the best source you can find, hands down. In case you actually care about the data.
Every year or so I take him off the block in hopes that we can revert to a good, constructive conversation - even if we disagree. Nine Ender and I have a truce going on now. We know we're not going to agree much, but there's no reason why we can't just keep it civil. I'll try to do my part.
There is a pandemic. People are dying. The numbers are rising in the US. And you're getting into the weeds? To what end?
Of course I'm getting into the weeds. What kind of question is that, Fred? We all should be getting in the weeds to determine the magnitude of the crisis, whether things are moving in the right direction, whether fear to go out and live our lives is warranted, whether an economic impact of this is warranted, whether what we are being told is true, etc.. You don't take things for granted without doing research, I know you don't. As for working out, diets, supplements, etc, I know you take that very seriously and you do your research. Why get in the weeds?
I wouldn't second-guess the collective knowledge and opinion of your country's recognized experts in the field. What are they telling you?
