Nah. My brother never graduated from high school (low traditional IQ), was kicked out of our home due to delinquency, and had to hide in Alaska for awhile due to having a warrant out for his arrest. He worked his way up to being one of the top oil base managers in the world, making more money than pretty much anyone else I know. He also was bipolar, completely dysfunctional in family relations, and a raging alcoholic when not working (i.e., he would drink all night and work long days, and go on binges when he was off work for a time).

Work ethic is important, but you also need to find the thing that you are passionate about and/or really good at to help you enter that work ethic properly. Also, a huge part of career success is being in the right place at the right time and knowing the right people. General education is critical for a healthy informed society, but more importantly individuals need the specific education and mentorship that reveals their talents.

No I am citizen of a country that is not controlled by lobbyists, does not have its laws designed, written, and modified by an elite at the expense of the common man, has regulators that have no qualms at kicking out big corporations if they don't follow the rules, a country whose leaders never held slaves nor had any slaves at all.

Only idiotic minions label everyone Chinese or Venezuelan who dare to criticize the failure of the short-lived American experiment that is purely built on benefitting those at the top at the expense of everyone else.

The rest where I am from is none of your business and should not concern you. Nor do I care which country you are a citizen of.

  5. Obviously Chinese female. Venezuelans are starving on the streets due to the failed social policy. They don't have internet, don't trade and would not be on ET. Only market economies work. And China is a free market capitalist economy. Only their political party is now controlled by a dictator. The benefit of living in America is you can start a business and get rich. In China, the dictator is starting to crack down on even Chinese business owners and throwing them in jail. The Soviet Union failed because it was not a market economy and could not generate wealth.

I was just curious actually. No need to get angry. LOL But by the way how angry you sounded when responding I guess you are a citizen of a country that's not controlled by lobbyists but by an authoritarian dictatorship that has its laws designed, written and modified by one person at the expense of the common men, has regulators that have no qualms at oppressing the innovative freedom of big corporations who don't follow the dictatorship of the government, the government of a country that enslaves all in the name of some "thoughts".

So you are Chinese, admit it. LOL It's no shame to admit you are Chinese. It's ok. We don't judge. LOL

  7. Yes, you do need to tell us where you are and where you come from so we too can bitch about where you live and where you come from and the history of your country since you love bitching about the USA so much.

It sounds like you do not like Capitalism. Too bad for you. You must then like either socialism or communism. Which is it?

And yes, you do care if people are from the USA, or you wouldn't be bitching about it so much.

So be brave and tell us where you live. You know, the country that is better than the USA.

Are you brave or are you a chicken?

We haven't mentioned the brutal Matthew principle on this thread.

"For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."

    translated:

"the rich get richer and the poor get poorer (eventually going completely broke)"

This a fundamental principle in the universe. In that larger galaxies gobble up smaller galaxies. And you end up with supermassive galaxies.

It is not possible to stop this natural effect, without resorting to socialist/communist principles, but then you only stop half of it, the rich getting richer part, but you do eventually get to see what absolute economic poverty looks like.

Indeed, I don't see any broad based benefits in unhinged capitalism. It destroys. Just look at your leadership and the common people like you are. America has become an utter embarrassment to the world.

I tell you where I am from : a free democratic country with a fair system and economic safety for everyone. Great education for everyone, free of charge. Universal top notch health care for everyone, freely accessible. An economic power house competing with the US on an equal footing. The huge difference is that all that money is not going down the gutter and ends up in the hands of a few. It ends up in the hands of the many. You attract daydreaming immigrants and 1 or 2 make it the rest live a shit life in your country. My country trains and mints top notch engineers on a daily basis which builds a strong backbone of prosperity for all for the long term. You guys shoot fireworks and they die in moments, we build the future. Its located in Europe by the way.

There is no point sharing more details, if you still did not get it you are of a too low iq to make a conversation worth it. Most countries in the west plus Japan are already for decades faring way better than the US regarding most metrics you can think of, perhaps you have been sleeping for too long?
