no trade for today or for the rest of the week. I'll probably concentrate the rest of the week on my other account, trading YM futures. I have to admit the dow volatility is as good as it gets right now intraday as well as intra week. I promise I will trade this account as soon as I get back in January. have a good holiday!!!!
Wow, its been a while since I took off for my trip. Hope everyone is doing good. I am ready to get back to this account but I am working on a project and it will last till the end of February. till then I don't have anytime to do research or free time during RTH. So hopefully by the end of February I'll start trading this account again.
I have left this account idle for more then a year!!!! I think its time to restart my trading, since I got a little down time. some of the holding took a dive and some went up but all in all I have a paper lost of -$4100. my account is $20,300 with the paper loss. I'll try to keep a semi weekly report. also I will discuss some of my trading ideas here( stock, option, etc). One of my friend made a big chunk of change today in AGIX option. he sold 100 APR 10 call at 3.45 last Friday and 100 12.5 APR calls at 3.10. He called me at 3:30AM PST!!!! and told me the news that the stock tank on bad news. He wanted me to get in last week but I told him it was too much risk for me to take. Well let just say uncle sam will love him a lot next year on april 15..
sold to open 50 April 5 call@.75 of DNDN hedge: buy order 5000@ a bit under strike price. DNDN - EOD - 3.72 not much to do today mostly stay on the sideline and do some research. I did like the option prices on DNDN looking to hold pass the FDA panel on the 29th. EOD price of the April 5 call is .65, so far so good.
I just reread my original post on this journal and most of it doesn't apply to my trading strategy now. With that said, I am still swing trading and using more derivatives in my position has hedges. This is a risk adverse strategy that I am trying to implement which will produce net position when the stock do nothing, up or down. I am trying to refine my method on very volatile stocks which I will post as my trade occurs. Most if not all my play will involve the pharm sector. Since my total concentration on the research side is in the pharm sector at the moment. sold APRIL 7.5 call 14@1.30 of ADLR. This position is covering an old position of 1400 shares of stock I had.
added 600@8.71 of ADLR my total now is 2000 share at a cost basis of 7.8. DNDN calls turning against me today a little.
