Magic Jack-Cheap Phone Service

  1. I wonder when the govenment is going to come in and screw up Magic Jack. Magic Jack will be 20 bucks a year because of some guys ingenuity. Reid and Pelosi will want to tap that for about 15 bucks a month in tax. So the tax will be a multiple of the fee.

  2. If your computer isn't on, calls do go to voicemail. Was doing some maintenance, and I saw one go thru on another box of wires.

  5. You know, I havent' been following that. What is it, and is it a threat.

IF these DEMS get in in size, this is what they'll do. Liberals love to tell everyone how to live.

  6. I'm not very well briefed on it but, as I know it, it's about internet service providers either delaying or completely denying service for internet traffic that doesn't mesh with their ideals. This includes but is not limited to BitTorrent streaming, newsgroup access, and VoIP phone providers other than themselves (Vonage, MagicJack, etc.)

  8. They sell them in Radio Shack and best buy now.

I don't get how you can sell soemthing for 40 bucks, then charge 20 a year, and afford to cut a retailer in.

this product fascinates me. For all the crap out there, this is just unbelievable. It must be, since the internet exists, 20 bucks a year for nothing ventured is profitable to the nth degree.

  9. I started using it yesterday. Perfect call quality and it has voicemail, call waiting, caller id, and call forwarding. When you get a voicemail, you also get an email immediately and can listen to it in realplayer. They even offer international calling for very low rates. 2 cents/minute for Italy. No phone company can compete with that...
