Do I live in an alternate dimension or something? This exact thing was talked about months ago, about how if someone sneezes, the droplets can linger for a while and you can breathe it in. THAT WAS THE MAIN THRUST BEHIND EVERYONE WEARING MASKS. SO YOU don't contract it! Somewhere along the line that Fauci goofball said it was all about protecting OTHER people, not you. The mixed messages are so bizarre. Who the hell cares WHY the reason for wearing the mask. We knew it was airborne when it went Agent USA on us, back in January. And that is one of the reasons why the N95 spec mask was so important back in the day, 3 whole months ago. Because it's a teeny-tiny virus. A fucking bandana is not going to filter out a teeny-tiny virus on a teeny-tiny molecule of air. No wonder so many people are getting infected. Too much of this "contact with surfaces" nonsense. How much is the NIH and CDC and WHO upper-echelon getting paid per year to occasionally dole out common sense that anyone with half a brain can work out logically? No P.H.D. needed! Just a R-U-N-O-F-T!
My belief is that contact with objects including your mask and then touching your face accounts for nearly all transmissions.
They are saying these are tiny tiny particulates. They don't settle as fast. Far worse than previously thought.
Hey Einstein... how do they get on the mask, and then once on there... how do they enter the body? Oh I see. People touch a handrail, then their mask, then lick their fingers or pick their nose. After rubbing their eyes. See post #119 in this thread.
That is what is driving me bonkers! They were saying this months ago! MONTHS! The world went all goldfish memory once the George Floyd stuff happened.
What is known so far about the Corona Virus, is that is enters your body thru the eyes, nose and mouth. It also, dies when exposed to extreme heat like from the sun. Others report UV rays kill Corona Virus. Masks do prevent and minimize infections and deaths. Japan and South Korea are prime examples where, the infection rates are lower than a lot of countries as well as the death rate. While, masks provide protection, it is not 100%. I believe infection from enclosed areas of say a mall, hospital, cruise ships, casinos, airplanes do spread the virus. That is the reality. Dirty air filled with viruses and germs in say an enclosed area, is circulated over and over by the airconditioning system. Nobody has addressed cleaning up the stale air and making sure air in enclosed areas are cleaned. One way to do this from a doctor is opening up say, your bedroom windows to blow out any trapped germs and viruses. A friend of mine went to a hospital for a routine procedure about 10-15 years before Corona Virus, he got an infection in the hospital resulting in pneumonia and he died within a few days. He lasted a few days in ICU after the infection then, he was gone. There is already technology using UV rays being developed for airplanes and relative cheap to operate. They should be doing this for all enclosed areas, malls, restaurants, hotels, casinos, airplanes, etc.
It is clearly airborne under the right circumstances and the choir where one person infected near the lot of them is just one of many proofs. The aerosol from a nebuliser will fill a room in tiny droplet spheres in a minute or so, these droplets will stay detectable on a PM 2.5 meter for well over an hour. Ultrasonic humidifier likewise. You can't see it but a meter shows an astonishiny high level for way way longer that you would think possible. A nebuliser may be more powerful but the vocal chords are doing something similar. Why are bars hotpots? Because people are loud. Viral load at exposure and where is sites matters hugely. A small amount can fail to site in a good location or be mopped up by the inherent immune system without any acquired immunity. The same person with a big dose will have a problem. So wear the masks, stay well back when speaking and try and avoid this entirely in an overly enclosed space.
From the CDC: Spread The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. These droplets land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or inhaled into the lungs. Spread is more likely when people are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
They were saying this (from WHO) (emphasis mine): People can catch COVID-19 from others who have the virus. The disease spreads primarily from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth, which are expelled when a person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are relatively heavy, do not travel far and quickly sink to the ground. People can catch COVID-19 if they breathe in these droplets from a person infected with the virus. Now they are saying its much lighter and lingers in the air far longer. 239 scientists... but B1 says they're wrong.
