I'd put the gun down where it wouldn't be noticed and let the police in.

 

(I said they were coming through the door. With a no-knock, they aren't waiting for you to open the door--neither will the criminals.)

In this hypothetical, they weren't the police; they were "serious" criminals that just yelled "POLICE!".

So you and your family are now at their mercy, because you chose to lay down your weapon, and not to fight.

 

If you don't have a reasonable proposal to replace no-knock warrants, you are wasting all of our time.

We should stop it because many innocent people are dying, replacement or not.

"We can't stop polluting rivers until we find a reasonable alternative to disposing of toxic waste."
"We can't stop police brutality until we find a reasonable alternative letting out cop frustrations."
"We can't stop unsafe work conditions until we find a reasonable alternative of getting the job done just as quickly."

 

A very small number considering the size of the country. We are going to need many more times the number of no-knock warrants to clean up the inner city.
