The answers are pretty straight-forward. Yes, racism exists in the US. Yes, we have a racism problem in the US. The question is to define the extent of the problem compared to other problems. The question of ways to improve race relations is a lengthy topic. Part of it is defining the list of problems currently facing minority communities - which include poorer healthcare outcomes, etc. The problems should be backed with facts and statistics. After this a rational discussion can be had to working to solve the problems. There may be disagreements about the solutions but at least everyone should start from the same list of facts that are agreed to. I find it disturbing that someone new to the politics forum would accuse me of being an admitted racist. On what basis are you asking this question?
The real crime here is the complete disregard for social distancing. If "expert" predictions are true they will all be sick in two weeks. Here's the thing about these violent riots and looting, they don't accomplish anything other than isolating poor blacks more and more. Have all of the many riots changed anything for the better in the inner cities? Nope. Are there still rogue cops killing people without just cause? Yep. Does the Blue line circle the wagons and defend the unwarranted killing? Yep. Does the average American give two fucks when these people burn down their own communities? Nope. Does BLM conflate every justified cop killing some thug with these unjust and criminal killings? Yep. Do the people in authority care to do anything other than offer lip service on the never ending campaign trail? Nope. Round and round we go, looking for some political solution from politicians who use the chaos and racial divide to get reelected. What is their motivation to change anything? They have none. Add in the abject stupidity of a continued shutdown, the nonsense of an election year, a media that lives for this shit, and summer just ahead. Yeah, it'll get worse, much worse.
Sorry, I was fixing something all day. I see what you are saying, the images are saved as one. The picture on the left with the cop kneeling on the man's neck is real. The one one the right, very apparently a hasty job with poor blending a the hat at an angle. But you know, it could have as easily been made by a Trump supporter to create a distraction around discrediting it. These days who knows. @PintoFire the photo where the camera crew is on the road and he is "kneeling" as was the accusation, in the water is absolutely taken out of context. In the original video he walks around and they pan left while he is explaining he is standing at the level of the nearby houses. It is not deceptive except in how it is being used as a fake, fake.
Thanks for three of four direct answers. I respect your so-far refusal to answer the fourth; and won't ask again. Actually, I'm not new here. I've posted here before; and even before that, I've always, read some of the posts here. Assuming, arguendo, that I were "new here;" that fact would be irrelevant since it would be possible for me to know the exact same amount of information simply by reading your past posts, as I would if I weren't new here. It's obvious that I didn't accuse you of anything, so I must conclude you like to spin things. I wouldn't ask if I were simply going to draw a conclusion and state it. I asked based upon the general nature of your posts, over the years, with regard to Black or Black-adjacent subject-matter. If you want us to believe that your posts, over the years, don't give rise to the asking of that question; well, then, that's simply what you want us to believe. None of us can look into your heart and say conclusively, one way or the other. The most we could do is to point out posts that would seem to support the basis for the question. But I just want to re-iterate; I respect your refusal to answer. _________________ "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? https://reason.com/2020/03/16/maryl...-swat-raid-was-shot-while-asleep-family-says/ Not sure if that's literally the most recent one, but it was back in March. Warrant was for "prohibited in possession of firearms" - the guy had a juvie record and couldn't own guns till age 30.
lol for firearms? Try harder. The Montgomery County Police claim Lemp "confronted the officers." The statement did not elaborate on the circumstances. Police said they recovered three rifles and two handguns from the house. Obv the same as some dude sitting unarmed in his car and subsequently strangled.
He answered quite clearly. By taking umbrage to you accusing him of being a racist, he is saying he does not consider himself a racist. I don't consider him one either, as he's never shown any indication to that. Are you a racist?
