I don't want you to do anything.

If you say, 'lots of companies definitely ...' then a reader is left to wonder whether you are citing a source, or offering an opinion. That reader may then ask you to cite your source. You can simply say, 'I got nothing.' Or 'me.' Or etc.

OTOH, if you say, 'I doubt many companies ...' then a reader clearly understands you are offering an opinion.

    Talk anyway you like.

They're going to charge Michele Michlewicz after they (Police) were sharing the cam recording of her nude body trying to protect her boyfriend Austin whom was screaming for HELP ?

That's like pouring salt on the wound.
    • By the way, this shitty arrest happen in 2019. Anybody know what has happen with them, the police that made the arrest or any lawsuit ???
Maybe it took a few years for them to get the video release to the public as the lawsuit is proceeding thru the courts.

Below pic is of her with cloths on. We now know what she looks like in the nude and with street cloths on. :D

  3. Walmart would pay in a heartbeat because on of their employees caused the death of a customer through negligent behavior....

seriously my friend.... you can express your opinion against large settlements but you are simply incorrect on the law.

Walmart cannot fight it, they would lose in every court of law. If a jury is involved which it almost is, Walmart would pay triple in compensatory damages, punitive damages and lawyer fees. You think a company as smart as Walmart would pay a settlement HIGHER than what they would expect in a court case?

Your comment that lots of companies would fight that amount is silly when we are talking about a SETTLEMENT! Insurance companies will not let their client go to court to get their ass reamed for millions and will force a settlement. You are expressing opinion as fact while I am telling you the law.

A company can always appeal a jury award but usually not successfully.

Also you keep overlooking the point that companies SETTLE. Google the word settlement.

  5. Settlements have nothing to do with Red or Blue states....dont bring politics in. Is Walmart a Dem or Gop entity? Is the city settlement higher because of Dems v. GOP? Of course not.

you know what is bad for PR.... a court case for several weeks showing how negligent the company and its employee were....c'mon man... a settlement is a payout without admitting wrong doing.

You telling me that it is better for a company to go to court and open itself to discovery where a good trial attorney will anal rape a company and drag out all of its policies and show every place it is negligent and lead to a huge jury award. You think a Walmart wants to be dragged through the public for weeks versus a quick settlement that is confidential.

Cmon.... now you are just fucking with us...

I know you have been wrong before because you are so wrong here.

  10. I said that Walmart might not fight the lawsuit for PR reasons, but a smaller company (where $27 million means a lot more to them) might. It is a punitive amount. Now we have a case where a 20 year old was shot dead in the same state. What is his family going to get? $40 million? This one was clearly a negligent accident and will be manslaughter at worst. However, it's still police not using following training, killing an unarmed black guy. I think who's in charge of the state matters for these types of settlements. Consider a state like Alabama which is majority MAGA. Many of the constituents believe the cop is innocent. They wouldn't like the settlement. You don't think their AG would fight it? Would have they have offered as much as MN to begin with?
