There's a distant relative in my family that's a Police officer in Arizona...they get training with MMA / UFC professionals to be prepared for hand to hand combat if needed. He states there's many other law enforcement across the country that receives that type of training too. I'm sure a minority of bad cops out there will use such type of training when they go rogue for whatever reasons especially if they think there's no witness around. The cop should be fired from his job for that type of excessive force when the criminal had surrendered and the criminal should be prosecuted...end of story. My point, excessive force more often than not does not involve shooting, knee on the neck, plastic bag over the head, choke hold, pressuring a paramedic to administer a lethal dose (injection) into an unarmed criminal resisting arrest etc. wrbtrader
