Thirty years is no time at all. Jordan Neely was a squishy little toddler yesterday, a gangly kid 10 minutes ago. At 30 he had no place to live. He was hungry and thirsty and tired and upset. He was experiencing a whole stack of separate crises piled onto each other. He walked into a crowded subway car carrying those crises; one of the people there decided that the problem, in that situation, wasn't that Jordan Neely was hungry or thirsty or tired, or that he was in obvious distress, but rather that on top of those other things he was also breathing, and killed him. Somebody else took their phone out and recorded it. That was Jordan Neely's whole and only life. It ended when he walked into a room full of people, homeless and hungry and thirsty and tired, and they helped themselves to his silence.
Isn't it time that we get these white republicans out of NYC Government It about time they elect minority democrats to run these cities
c'mon man, the bare minimum response is to be indifferent, let the guy have his tantrum and avoid......it's not just "protestors" who'd do that. The decent thing would be to lend a hand but let's be honest, "ain't nobody got time for that". I've never heard of some rich white Karen bitch losing her shit and howling at the moon in Calabasas being vigilante'd for it. While societal, it's also hard to ignore the skin color side of it (as w/Floyd). It must be clarified that in all witness statements I've read, he wasn't harassing anyone, no matter how shitty the NY Times byline may be. I'll await to see what fiction cops wrote down to let him go home.
Well I said that no matter what the law does not support going around killing people even unintentioanlly like this so the marine is in trouble. My point was the marine is in trouble no matter the race or situation here. Also as I said the protestors against the killing are still people who would otherwise turn their back on the homeless so I kind of tune out their sanctimonious preaching about the human being yada yada when they themselves would have looked the other way about any homeless in the streets.
...right wing media's been on an all out war against the homeless since forever (insert nyc/chicago/portland/seattle/SF/etc..), hell dems campaigned on "crime waves" all over the place to keep progs at bay including NY. Throw in there the "animalistic black man super predator" stereotype in the mix for good measure and voila. It's one thing to ignore people's poverty and shitty life as you try to live your own, it's quite a stretch to equate it to "being OK w/murder" so I don't see the sanctimony there.
it'll probably be manslaughter unless the "choked him for 15 mins" reporting is true....plus whatever they find in his laptop.
This is what happens when those in charge of keeping the streets safe and secure do nothing but stand by and watch it happen. These homeless need to be housed, some in mental institutions, most in some general housing development. This will cost billions. The money is easy to find. Secure the border, stop the invasion of illegals which will free up all the billions being spent on illegals being transported, housed and treated. There, solved it for you. Won't happen because government doesn't want to solve the problem. In fact they will do everything to exacerbate the problem. Lot more milage on the campaign trail feigning horror and outrage. In the meantime citizens will step in and do the job that the authorities should be doing. Mistakes will be made, tragedies will happen. Plenty of political milage in that too feigning outrage when in truth they love watching people die in the streets. It's a real vote getter and that is the ONLY thing they care about.
MAGAtard chokes black homeless man to death and Cap finds a way to turn it into a right wing immigration rant
