Yes, it is true that deportation is silly. I will note that a number of MAGA U.S. citizens have voluntarily deported themselves to Russia after claiming how great life would be there. I will note that it did not go well for them. As Trump loudly pushes deportation to rile up his base. The reality is that we need immigration. The majority of immigrants from Mexico, Central America, and Venezuela are not criminals but simply hard workers seeking economic opportunity for themselves and their families. We need people to do construction, yard work, farm work, health aides and a large number of other job roles. The harsh reality is the demographics of the U.S. will need immigration to sustain our economy and retirement systems. Sixty years down the road will be probably be paying people from these countries to relocate the U.S.
