With all due respect, if you are retiring in 5+ years, a bad week in the market cannot be focused on for long term traders, that is ridiculous. I been long term in my retirement plan for years during COVID crash and housing market crash and bought in over time and my account (it is a retirement account so buy and hold) has grown over time. All of this talk that trump tanked retirement accounts for 40 year old who will not access their money for 20 more years and will keep dollar cost averaging in is ridiculous. You cannot be so trump focused to bitch about a stock market drop so that if in a year or two the market is higher you give trump all the ammunition to say how wonderful his policies were because the market i higher. (p.s. I am in the camp that despite short term manipulation the president has not control over stock returns). Like if the market is up tomorrow are you gonna say look how trump lifted the markets? please stop the bullshit about trump tanking retirement accounts like the millions of people in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s are accessing those funds anytime soon or not loading up on good stocks at low prices. I went shopping yesterday adding Exxon, Apple, Nike, Nvidia, Copa and Shell to sit on for the next 5 years.
