It may be hard to comprehend, but the US cannot be isolationist for very simple reasons:

    1. Our military industrial complex is the biggest and most expensive. If we didn't sell our weapons to the rest of the world we would already be bankrupt. If we only built weapons for our immediate safety our economy would collapse.

    2. The world economy is based on the US dollar, to the chagrin of many. A US withdrawal from the world collapse our and a few nations financial systems.

    3. US isolation would encourage powerful adversaries to lay claims on smaller nations and regions. The US would lose its credibility and its allies.

    4. US exports would be severely impacted by allies who will surely limit access to their markets in retaliation.

And for all of this, what amazing improvements would isolationism provide to Americans?

    Who said anything about isolationism?
Just because I don't want to be getting into wars all over the world doesn't mean we can't do honest business with everyone.
Our business relationships would be MUCH better.
Maybe we should try building something to HELP the world rather than KILL the world.
    Weapons ....... GOOD RIDANCE.
Disagree with ALL your points above.

There are fewer war deaths after The US started policing the world than prior to it but don't let facts get in the way of your narrative.

US was doing well before Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The US was also, prosperous after World War 2 when we did not get involved in needless wars. That all changed with the Vietnam war.

    US are hypocrites.

They (pretend to) to hate wars yet introduced renditioning of captives to other countries for torture. US led the way.

US (pretend to) hate wars and involvement in Middle East strife yet supplies huge quantities weapons for years to Israel and continues on despite obvious war crimes going on in Gaza.

US (pretend to) hate profliferation of nuclear weapons yet supplies the technology to Israel and India and allows leakage of critical technology to China.

US (pretend to) hate war yet is the largest international arms dealer, yet just look at your internal supply of automatic weapons and handguns for 'recreational hunting', what a joke.

Money always comes first, fuck morals. Hypocrites!

Isolationism re: Ukraine is just idiotic. ChiRussia are our enemies and they are currently bogged down in a stalemated war over nothing. It’s vietnam in reverse. Given the chance to merely supply ammo to keep it that way, we’re dropping the ball. It’s like the other team gives you an open shot at the goal and you just start fondling your balls instead.

Of course half the fault goes to the Democrats, many of whom (including Biden) would rather die than tell “asylum seekers” that the scam is over and the border is closed. Hence that Trojan-horse BS deal that shredded any chance of getting a compromise through before the election.

What we need for Ukraine is a clear plan moving forward.....We cant continue a stalemate with thousands of soldiers being killed weekly.

The problem is that Biden believes in slow walking this war to hurt Russia through attrition.
Biden's only stated goal is this, Biden, off the cuff, says Putin 'cannot remain in power'
We cant continue this war for that purpose

I remember reading Noam Chomsky's political books and they cover everything you stated. Manufacturing Consent is a great diatribe about the hypocrisy of the US government and US media especially his rebukes about the New York Times and their false claims of neutrality.

All the news that's fit to print. Indeed, especially when the NYT 100% agree with the US warmongers.
