At least he's still got Kyra and she still looks good. :D

The crap thing about being Kevin Bacon, it turns out, is that sometimes you find yourself six degrees from the wrong kind of guy. Such as, for instance, Bernie Madoff. We'd heard that along with Hollywood boldfacers Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg, Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, lost money in Madoff's devastating $50 billion Ponzi scheme, and Bacon's rep, Allen Eichorn, confirmed it for us. "Unfortunately, your report is true," he wrote. He wouldn't elaborate on whether, as we'd heard, they'd lost everything except for their checking accounts and the land they own. "I can confirm that they had investments with Mr. Madoff — no further specifics or comment beyond that," he said, adding: "Please, let's not speculate or rely on hearsay."

But we can't help but speculate! Just think about it: Footloose money: gone. Wild Things residuals: gone. The Singles stash: obliterated. If there's anyone in Hollywood who didn't deserve this, it's Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. Those two have worked. It sincerely pains us. At least they have The Closer to fall back on.
  2. Go to your local video store and rent "Quicksilver". It was a decent trading-related movie.
  3. I was going to say "Ain't true, they ain't Jewish." But Sedgewick is half. Sometimes it pays to be Appalachian white trash with no big city conneckshuns.
  4. LOL

    Where there's smoke, there's fire.

I'm 100% certain that the list goes back for a mile long ... people just don't want their name in the papers associated with this Madoff trash.
  5. With a list a mile long with people who don't want to be known, gotta be a least some mobsters and drug cartel on it. Wanna bet on what kind of "accident" or "medical condition" poor elderly Bernie croaks from?
  6. One can only hope ...

Sorry, we all know he deserves much worse ... people who did shit like this used to get their whole families wiped-out.

(In some ways modern day civilization has improved, but in other ways, it has not).
  7. I really thought this fat cats would have been in the know for quite some time now and loaded up on gold some years ago.
  8. A lot of not-so-fat cats like me have a continuous buying program. Not much every year, but if it ever went to $10,000 you'd be glad you did. Most of what I have I bought at $280-320. Waiting for it to go down to around $700 to buy again.
  9. Someone needs to do a 6 degrees of separation of Kevin Bacon to outline 6 other people who got screwed over by Madoff.

You know other Hollywood Hotshots did.

I'll start with an easy one; Kevin Bacon was in 'A Few Good Men,' which also starred Jack Nicholson, and Jack Nicholson was in 'The Bucket List' with Morgan Freeman.

    Poor Morgan Freeman.
  10. Morgan Freeman keeps his money in a fund that provides juice loans for black folks playing the policy wheel.....
