I've got nothing against downloading it aphie.. Agree. My software testing days are long gone and I don't install ANYTHING on my system unless it's unmistakably, absolutely, positively, thoroughly, undeniably, categorically necessary.
I fought this one for a long time for the same reason but eventually I had to give in for the reason Baron cited. I needed to use a site where you couldn't navigate without it. Still, I feel violated.
I don't know if this is related (although I strongly suspect so), but now I also get continual, relentless pop-ups with this message: "Your current security setting prohibits running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly." At least the previously discussed pop-up would only do so once per page, while the above message will pop-up repeatedly on the same page. For instance, while typing this post it has now popped up over 10 times. I have made no changes to my operating system, installed no updates, added no hardware, changed no drivers, nor changed any settings in Internet Explorer.
I am also seeing the Active X pop-up starting today, I am also being hit with a Trojan every time that I hit a thread. This was not occuring yesterday. I have Virus Scan (McAfee Ver 7.1) detecting the Exploit-MhtRedir.gen Trojan everytime I pull up a thread on the Elite Trader site. This is not an issue with my PC, but with the ET site. Can the site owners take a look at what is going on with this Trojan? Thanks, - Greg
No. I'm still getting them. Seems to be the CMS froex banner. I'm taking a break from ET. And I will never use CMS . Ever! (not that i would ever trade FX) . Trade Well. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
well ya gotta let BARON make a few bucks for his aggravation here.. (he's prolly eyeballing a new 2005 Viper right now ;-) ) uptik... install google's ad blocker. i have! works like a charm. i have never seen the ad you refer to...or ANY ad on ET! see ya in chat!
