  1. The story of my trading last few months.. great analysis but really poor unfocused trading... UAUA swings like no other. Would love to keep a trade in it all the time.. Surely you are aware of 9 area support. Current oil bounce "should" be getting tired.

  4. hi retire45,
I would like to thank you for your channel. I went trough all pages, :).

I started my own trade private blog some time ago where I specify why enter/exit, what learned, bla bla bla and I have to admit it works well !
I do less mistakes, I'm more disciplined and make money.

What I didn't learn yet is how to let position run longer (few days) and how to accumulate more (double/tripple position). I get scared and close it.

Any idea how to cope with it?

Hope you made some money this week, there were lots of opportunities.
    Go on ...

  5. Flat week.. A JRCC take home short low 12's Wednesday was lethal as it fled to 15 next day.. covered on break of 14. Not doing daily study of USD as I should which has set commodities afire.. always noticing after the bad trade.

  6. Wish I could tell you... I fight this daily... Bought UWM at open on Friday at 16 and change, took a small loss at 15.9, rebought 16.15, sold 16.8 when it had shown no indication of being done. Bought TWM at 100.9.. still holding..

Basically your mental interpretation of lost profits is causing you to not accept the cost of finding out if the trade will work. It is terminal in the end I think as taking profits too small when the markets want to give you more will be more than offset by losses you will take when the markets offer them.. Your thinking must change.

Also the constant daily change in the play will drive you nuts if you are not able to stock to a rigid set of rules and drop your expectations.

  7. OP, there are traders (not many) who use the same indicators on VERY short term charts and successfully daytrade futures. I realize this won't work for you, but I had to mention it.

Hope you achieve your goals. Another year coming up.

  8. Interesting you say that... this past month I have been testing and I have found with very volatile ETFs MACD seems to work very well... My key problems have been trading in choppy times (lots of signals) and the weekly disastrous take home.. This 15 minute UWM shows the study.. The actual signal fires in the 5 minute.

  10. Have been using Strategy Desk for Ameritrade Users only... Esignal better in a lot of ways except user programming of simple studies... Much more powerful I am sure though...
