Russell 3000: Points down: 95.01% Volume down:90.51% SP-500: Points down: 96.14% Volume down: 91.34% Another 90% down day. I cannot export on my database an accurate group for NYSE, to match issues and volume as reported by NYSE, If anyone can,let me know
Two 90% down days this month, one almost 90%. Key supports were broken this week. This is very bearish technical action which gives greater weight to the potential for a deep high volume selloff in the near future.
Aaron Task the immortal Paul (not Nora) Desmond 9/20/02 01:36 PM ET FYI, I just hear from Paul Desmond of Lowry's Reports who I was unable to reach late yesterday. Desmond called to confirm that yesterday was NOT a 90% downside day, although there was 90% downside volume on the over-the-counter market and 90% downside price action on the NYSE. However, downside price action didnât reach 90% in OTC and downside volume didnât hit 90% on the Big Board. From Lowryâs work, both parameters must be met (on either exchange) to complete a 90% downside day that is so crucial to his work on major bottoms. And, of course, his works shows there are an average of five 90% downside days before major bottoms and there has only been one so far this year (9/3).
