Hi, can anyone recommend a low fee broker for buy and hold investing? IB charges $10/month for low volume accounts so I am looking for a broker without minimum volume fees. I will also be starting with a low balance (under $10,000).

    Thanks

Hmmm, I think you are better off with Forexchief broker. Been using this broker since last year. So believe me when I say so.

Schwab or Fidelity for hand holding (if you bring enough to the table). If not, then Vanguard...Very little hand holding (hand holding=getting phone calls through quickly and answered correctly. Explaining basics of trading online. Advice on the cheapest way to trade...Buy and hold). For any company watch for exit fees...They really add up.

Definitely a good one. They have very low fees and speedy execution of orders. However, this broker is good for HFT and news strategy trades.
