Low Dollar Cheap Ass Trades Journal. Beer Cash 2022.

Discussion in 'Journals' started by TrailerParkTed, Jan 11, 2022.

  1. Grabbed some X calls, made almost $1600 and going to bed. Two days and no sleep, not throwing any gains away!

  2. Starting buying BCEL at $2.90-$3.34 and $2.50 calls at $.7-$.95. I bailed out of the calls too soon, had to dump right before the Close because I did not trust it. Carried 800 common though.

Like I've always said- the only bad beer is that one over there with a cigarette butt in it. Dammit I hate when that happens.
Would I have held? Man I'm the last one to ask about that, lol. That's why I'm curious about how as an active options trader you'd rate how things are going profitwise as just a quick and dirty overall rating of say a 3 or a 6 or a 9 or....
I like to trade futs charts and can't help but look at 5m stock and etf charts with the same setups and an eye toward maybe diving into simple buy call or puts at strike closest to 40 delta on a intra or two day hold. Figured that if you don't rate your luck too high, then I'd do hell of a lot worse, lol.

  7. I wonder if the bulk of my trades are based on luck? Usually I look at the T/S and LL2 and play 52weeks or Alltime high-low. Probably dump(Instead of dumb luck) luck, the kind you find good treasures others throw away while taking your own trash to the landfill. Today is a perfect example, people throwing good stocks away with plenty of profit. I was up $950 on a $2000 account.

Went away a minute, the stock collapsed leaving my calls worth +$650. I know you and others know the deep finance and options models values, I wish I had been trained better understanding it all. Hope your trading is doing well!

  8. OXY $60s Call, bought $1.95-$2.20, sold @ $2.90, some at $2.95. $3 was out of the question, sellers kept coming in.
